New NCPA Team

I'm looking to start a new team here at my university. Done anyone have any tips on getting it going? I have done divisional stuff before, but I know that the NCPA has some more rules. Let me know. Any advice is appreciated!!

ADVERTISE EVERYWHERE! Most people at my college aren't even aware there's a team so make a ton of posters or something

make sure you have a solid group of about 8 players that are dedicated to start with, and start talking to the people in charge of your club sports.

Focus on getting a recball/woodsball group going first.

That's the foundation of a good tournament team down the road because:
-It makes the local field happy
-It makes the administration happy since they feel like they are helping more students
-It makes you happy because two years from now, some of those rec ballers will be the president and/or captain of your tournament team. Sounds crazy but that's the way it works.

If you start with tournament players only, that generally only lasts a year or so and then falls apart because the experienced players are either burned out on paintball in general and/or want to play on a local team that is around rather than an upstart college team.

Moral of the story:
START WITH RECBALL/WOODSBALL.

Just started one and the major thing that helped us was having a group of guys behind us that would help persuade the administration and do the work necessary to become officially recognized. Once you become official schools work with you a lot more which helps you find more players.
