I've tried it. Easy for some champs, but it really holds you back on others. Bad idea.

Yea pretty bad idea. It's not just QWER it's also D, F and number keys for usable items. Alt, shift/A, and spacebar are pretty important too.

I could see using summoner spells on the mouse. That's about as far as I'd go though.

Even so I think most people find it easier on D and F. I know DJ Bob said earlier that he does it to prevent accidental flashes which makes sense. Also I don't think that it would be worth the money if you are getting a new mouse unless you are playing other games that would benefit form it.

Yea, for LoL I use the default controls. The only games that I actually map things to my mouse for are Minecraft and MWO. For Minecraft I have two side buttons that I make inventory and chat and for MWO the two side buttons fire weapons groups 3 and 4 and then the DPI switch can switch which weapons group is vertically assigned.

Is it better to run MR/lvl blues or flat MR blues vs AP? I've heard some debate on the topic.

I think it depends if they are bursty or not or if they are more of a early or late game champ, for ex, you would prob want flat mr vs someone like leblanc who is very strong early

If you want to either win lane or "not lose" (ie farming lane vs LB is probably a win) then go flat.
If they have 2 AP champions, a diving ap champ (ie Diana or Elise) then per level is better.

I think I use only flat and it doesn't seem to be a Problem for me.

Already at 88 league points in only 6 matches. Just pick anivia every game and peel/burst for wins. I've noticed so many ADC's just sitting in my ulti without even wall trapping them or getting lockdown

While it is possible to play at the highest levels of play with just a mouse it is not recommended. You will probably not be able to play champs who rely on specific rotations of spells or combos (like Riven).

Edit: seems the post on reddit was a fraud.

so many idiots for my chance to move up. i had about a 40CS lead botlane and 1/2 dead turret, our turret perfect, and she just starts doing extremely stupid plays getting caught with her poke, then when ez was about 6-0 and still couldnt hold his lane, naut gave up like 3 kills straight then everyone just got caught everywhere and started complaining instead of playing the game, even though EVERY teamfight ez would be caught and nobody else was really fed.

when she first game out one of my friend played her as support and I was adc. it was his first time with her and he got his w first ran up to Caitlyn at lvl 1 3 shot her then ignited her and she died. so funny

most people have been confused when I did it too, but I don't think it's that weird. I was called a troll when I went J4+leona bot with a friend but they shut up when I was 10-1.

I just carried so hard as kha zix too bad I had lol recorder off
our team was absolute garbo I finished 21/4/16 and we had all 3 inhibs down twice. I made a stand at our nexus 3v1 to hold them off to prevent the loss. my team finally got in gear and traded 5 for 1 when they had baron lol and we pushed to win. we only got 1 turret down top and bot lane lelelel
