Looking into getting a new marker and I was wondering how a SP1 with a blackheart board and double trigger would rank as a speedball gun.

I am consider that or a used Etek.

Thanks any thoughts would be appreciated

It holds up against alot of markers, its lite and upgradable and can be pretty fast depwnding on the settings, they are also pretty accureate and even more so with better barrels and paint.

for the low cost it really is a great starter that you can use in the woods also.

I second this. Also, just a suggestion, VL Revvys are perfectly matched hoppers for this gun too.

I'm not sure I'd describe an sp-1 as light.

Compared to a Tippmann maybe.

Sp1 is pretty light.. unless youre like 2..

SP-1/G-1(nowdays..) is by FAR one of the most under-rated markers on the market...

Easily considered an 'entry/rookie level' marker for woodsball because the simple intuitive working ('kindergarten' level..) , easy maintenance, but that's just the 'cover'..

...What you in fact get is one OVER the Top marker for anyplace or type of game, in any conditions (Blizzard? Heavy rain? Mudpools? Triple check.. ) you play for a tiny bit fraction of the cost similar markers are reaching (ex: late Bob Long Mtac?, Empire BT TM15?)!!

It's core out the box is Vibe internals, factory standard Board has the 3 Modes (Semi/Ramping 3bps/Full 11bps) and if you update with the Blackheart Board (Full+22bps) + plus QEV360 upgrade + the aftermarket Bolt L7, you can reach one of the most unbeatable deadly combos (of Efficiency, Air, gentel with Ball, Price...etc) out there on the field besides, you would be shooting at low pressure around or under (depending how you config it..) 100psi...!

Not light, but rugged to endure HEAVY punishment...
Little greedy if you store it with your Batterie connected inside, solenoid WILL suck it dry....
