at this point a card board box is much more maintainable and cheap! as for mansions they are high maintenance, hence higher prices and underlying cost that the player pays. money is tight sponsors are disappearing constantly, existing sponsors are giving less and less every year.
tournament ballers are cheap a$$es! as with any tournament go with what your team can afford as a "TEAM".

Well if anyone cares to hear from a person who has reffed GFOA and was intially involved during conception, here it is. GFOA is a determined series trying to give its best and still stay alive in a still weak paintball economy. I have done every job that has been involved with GFOA atand some point and wish I was could committ to doing more than I currently do which is ref. If all the players knew how much Joe has done to give Ga its longest running series, they would be a lot more thankful. I know as a ref I personally give my all to make sure the games are fair. Either you play it and love it cause of the friendly environment or think you are too good for the local stuff and bash it behind your computer screen. Anyways for new players to the series I'll see you out on the field and don't try any funny business on my side of the field!

If you want prizes, take that tournment money and buy yourself a prize.

gfoa vs cfps to me is not having to play against d5 and d4 people who scrimmage static and cfp home squads and then come beat my head in during the tournament. gfoa d5 is what it should be. D4 gfoa is at the level it should be. Open may have pros thru d3 guys. you never know who is gonna show. Gfoa does put on a good series. this will be my 3rd (4th?) year playing it.

what are these prizes you speak of? last time i played a tourney it was for a trophy (and not even a great trophy!) and i loved every moment of it. one time i even got a medal out at wildfire!

Hey gfoa gave me a new pack last year and I needed one

My team has played 3 GFOA events and we had a blast all 3 times! We podiumed at 2 of those events. I thought the prizes were great and we just looked at them as a bonus anyways. If we didn't get anything at all we would have still had a GREAT time. We will be playing the entire season this year.
