I know of many marines that wear paintball masks in country to deflect shrapnel and rocks from explosions they also help in sand storms. before you all go crazy flaming this post. i'm not saying paintball masks are grenade proof but a small low velocity projectile that would normally cause a small injury will be deflected. glad you're ok though. is everyone else alright?
helmets yes goggles very often means safety glasses. it also depends on your unit if you are allowed to even wear the mask.

We've set a few customers on fire........but most of them are back walking again now.
This video is quite good. We had more casualties after this than we knew what to do with. The ambulances were stretched all the way down the road. Good game though.

aaaah you guys have never been to a Shoreline event. The pyro at the end of the day is epic. Nothing quite like that bridge - everyone trying to take it with explosions going off everywhere. I miss Super6 games
