Removing the air fitting/nipple from the body (g6r)

I'm trying to figure out how to remove the air fitting from the hose that runs from the solenoid to the back of the ram.

It does not appear to have threads, yet I can put an allen key into it and spin it around. How to i get this fitting off?

I looked through some stickies and didn't find anything. The manual doesn't say anything about it either.

never mind. it turns out if you remove the hose, it just slides out.

one question though, What seals this and keep air from escaping? an oring inside the hole, perhaps? I tried to get a look inside while using a flashlight, but was unable to see anything.
Right now the fitting just slides around freely. I imagine when the marker fires, it's going to have issues because the air won't push the ram forward, and will instead escape into the grip frame.

I'm swapping bodies. I picked up a valken body on the cheap(essentially for free) because it was re-anodized and I'm trying to see if i can make it work. So far it holds air and cycles fine. The real test is when i shoot it with paint.

I think that it is just the wedging of the brass insert into the tube that keeps it air tight.

yea. it's a much tighter fit on the body i pulled it out from. hopefully it won't cause me any issues.

I've been told this body has issues getting enough velocity; I wonder if this isn't the thing causing it.

If the pressure is being pushed back past the hose it could be like the back cap oring is leaking, giving similar symptoms. Will the gun not chrono above 240 most of the time?

You'd have to ask Tim. I don't have any place to shoot it until Sunday.
All he told me was that "it didn't have any sort of velocity" I replace all the manifold and body orings before i tried to air it up, because I knew it was having issues.

I got it put together today, and set the regulators to 75/190ish seems to cycle just fine. Hard to know anything for sure without paint, though.

Just make sure ya got bunch different orings for hand fitting them to get the fps you need.

It will come to a lot of trial and error. But you should be able to make it work.

I have LOTS of orings.
Which ones would I be attempting to replace? the ram orings? It holds air just fine, which I was pretty happy about.

If the rammer orings are too loose they will be hardest to fit. You will probably have to find an equivalent metric oring. Front of ram 006 rear 011. Might need a slightly larger back cap oring too.

My back cap should be fine, it wasn't messed with.
I have like, 100+ orings of each of those sizes. I imagine I can find something that works. The bolt is pretty loose though. I tried using size 016 instead of 015, but they were too large. I guess the same thing goes for the bolt as well. Try and try again.

Well if its all holding air. And you can get to correct FPS shouldn't have anything to worry about. But yea if was leaking depends from where would be orings. And for FPS id say poppit/ram would be spots to look.

I wouldn't dick around with handfitting rings until you're sure the gun isn't hitting velocity. Otherwise you might be spending a very long time doing that when it was completely unnecessary in the first place.

When the body was being sold it was because velocity couldn't be reached with normal orings by someone that knows almost everything about timmys

he did admit that he wasn't interested in attempting to hand size orings. I still have a fighting chance if it won't work for me.

Nice. Did you have to do anything strange? Pressures?

I kinda eyeballed the largest ram orings i could find in the 100 or so that i have, then "drenched" them with dow55 for a few hours before installing them. Pressures are fine. LPR is at 75ish and the hpr is around 200.
