dwell is different for each gun set up. If you increase the dwell and find that your velocity increased, try increasing it one more time. Increase dwell until the velocity stops increasing with it, then back it down by 1ms. That will allow you to turn your regulator down to get back down to field speed, this makes the shot more smooth and consistent.
lowering the dwell increases efficiency, you can lower it until your consistency noticeably suffers over the crono, then bring it up 1ms. I prefer a smooth shot. your efficiency will be pretty good no matter what when you have the techt bolt.
All Dwell is is the time the noid is in the forward position and allowing air to flow through the bolt. to much dwell will waste air because the marker will still be venting air after the ball left the control bore.. that is just a waste. Its all about finding the sweet spot like i mentioned above. Bolts that move easier tend to require less dwell. More dwell will is needed for a heavier bolt that has a hardertime breaking free from the rest position.
