It's tough to get the output current or voltage because the solenoid is only powered for a few MS. I wish I had a multimeter quick enough to get that, it would save quite a bit of time..
@tsj0349
You are right, I was wrong with that one.. The MAC solenoids are Direct Acting versus the Indirect Acting solenoid that comes with the gun. Indirect-Acting solenoids require much less power because of the pilot valve, which requires much less power by using a smaller valve to open the larger valves and moving a larger amount of air. Direct acting noids are simpler in design but require more power because there is no pilot valve like indirect noids, it just moves one large valve, in the end, Direct noids are faster and more reliable, but require 6-8x more power to operate..
Cheers,
JB

No, it won't mess up your board. It will work fine with a Yakuza USB.

Why would you ask a question about a ego in the timmy section?
Try the ego forum, they might know...

You're way better off asking in an ego oriented section. Damn near any other sub-forum would be a better choice than this one.

I used to run a mac on my old alien remains. The WAS boards will work, the tadao boards will work and most likely virtue will as well(although I never tried one). If you have an older predator board, that will probably also work. You might need a higher dwell setting since the macs aren't air assisted(hence the power draw) but it won't really affect your efficiency once you tune it properly. The cycle speeds on them are fantastic however. I loved mine over the stock humphrey. You could just feel the difference. The only downfall is......the mac's upper pressure tolerence is 120-150psi. Soooooooooo if you do something dumb, you may blow the noid.
I think I was also around 12ms on dwell.

Sorry to revive this but I jus picked up some Mac 43s for a new Species build because in my experience I feel the Mac solenoid is superior others. I'll post a thread of the build but if anyone can help me out I may need some help with this aspec of the build.

we had several people in the ICD community mod these noids into their freestyles, we had to use a droid/borg board due to the higher power draw, it required some modifications but worked real nice in a few of them. The freestyle pro and promaster had hosed noids so those were a bit easier to work on.
Once they are in and working I have heard good things about them, if DW needs to get rid of some he may be able to at ICD-O, they are also great noids for project markers due to their size.
