Personally, I think the stock barrel is fine. I'm not sure how people can say the axe stock barrel "feels cheap" but are fine with the feel of the rest of gun. I'm sure you've heard this already, but buying quality paint is going to make the biggest impact on accuracy- not necessarily the barrel.
You may want to get a different barrel size to have a closer bore to the paint you're shooting. If you're getting a single barrel, the CP one piece is probably the better deal. Alternatively, you can grab a J&J edge starter barrel kit from Ultimate Paintball for $75 - only a little more than the CP 2 piece and you get three different size barrel backs.
