Never tuned a Geo and taking a crack at it.

So my team mate just can't get his geo+ to shoot the way it should so he's handing it to me. The teams tech but I've never had to touch a geo yet. It has the upgraded bolt engine and I asked him to go ahead and return the board settings to stock. So here's my set of questions....

What psi should hpr be set at?

Will sleek lube do the trick till I get my hands on PE grease?

After setting hpr what's a good dwell to get 8-9 pods and a hopper but keep it shooting ropes at 285 fps?

It's cold in indy ATM so should I run a higher dwell to avoid bolt stick and do I set it back down for summer?

Some of these questions may be dumb but I like to know everything about marker I'm about to work on.

I shoot a geo1 with r2. I put my dwell at 10, I always use sleek.
Edit: I live in Canada, so unless it's summer, it's cold.

Ok awesome! He told me that he was using monkey poo and I urged him not to. That stuff is thick and we're playing in 30 degree weather so I could only imagine how much that bolt is dragging.

Your best bet is to dwell tune the marker. I doubt you will get 8 pods...unless you use an 88/4500

dwell "tune" is the only option you have to do this. even then i wouldnt really call it "tuning"

I informed him that he's not gonna get a lot of paint through this thing. I keep forgetting that it doesn't have an lpr as well. I'm used to tuning Timmy's and Dm's. this should be fairly easy.

Dewell has very little effect on these guns I run my 2.1 just under stock with a stock bolt and 2 ms under stock with a polished bolt. Just fine where it shoots the most consistent and go with that. If your use to tuning dms think of it this way tun it the same but the lpr is already set perfectly. Go over the chrono stock setting set to 285 fps then turn dewell down till it stops bringing your fps down then turn it back up .5 just to give you some wiggle room then adjust your velocity with the reg back up to 285 and you should be shooting pretty damn good. Done this for the past 2 years no issues what so ever. Play in New England so one day it can be 95 and humid and the next pouring rain and 60. Best markers on the planet
