Macdev Shift Barrel Inserts?
Any way I can get an insert that is lower than the .681? The website only has the 5 that come in the kit.
Thanks

Dang, alright, appreciate the help. Any recommendations other than the shift barrel kit that would have smaller bore sizes??

I wish they would. .681 is alright but not perfect on some paint.

I have the freak boremaster kit with my deadlywind barrel.
Works great and they have inserts down to 675 now as well.

Lurker
Try a Lurker barrel. For about $40, in my opinion, is most definitely the best bang for your buck barrel out there. They're available in .678 and .684 bores. The control bores are longer than most barrels available. Efficient, quiet, cheap and just plain awesome.

That's the first I've ever heard of anyone having a problem with a lurker barrel. I know several people that use one. And I've used one on about a dozen different markers. Never a single problem.

If the bore is too small, the open bolt firing action will break the ball instead of pushing it into the under bored barrel. That it's partly why closed bolt does so well with under boring.

Ok, so my clone vx bolt system uses an open bolt process? I have not had it very long and still learning the specs and proper terminology about it. An example of a closed bolt would be a rail or matrix I assume? Or no?

mine worked really well. We switched to a bigger paint so i dont use it anymore. .678 bore was perfect for small paint.

closed bolt is like a pump where you push the ball into the barrel and then fire. Open bolt pushes the ball into the barrel while firing, its more harsh but you are able to shoot fast consistent streams.
