There was a reply on Another post that said its the board and there is a milisecond timing difference that when ramping causes the problem

It's also possible that any changes you make on the board are not actually occuring as the manual suggests. A simple programming glitch.

Epi frame, custom mod trigger (NDZ i think), qev, lasers, kila detents, L7, oled, NT reg (its a hyper 3 from dye with the NT sleeve), trinity asa, alum body (non bob), freak shooting at 684 bore..........look at the avatar
Dammm I miss that thing

I just got this lot of upgraded "broken" ions for the price of scrap iron ( $100 ) . All they need is a little love, new orings and hoses . In 2013, I will launch a new concept, it will be called low cost paintball. Thanks to all those who hate ions and make this possible

Nice score. I see no reason all of those can't be working again. You're ready to start your own paintball gun rental service lol.

Core...
regular Genxglobal or ANS 140 round pods. Off course with an almost perfect paint to bore match (i think I was shooting valken graffiti with a 684 freak insert).
This was the set up
4500 full hot fill /68 ci with ninja reg at 550 (only one shim)
Deannoed / polish breech (stock size)
polished L7 bolt (it means i sand it down the anno on the bolt just enough to maintain anno color but make it smoother)
virtue QEV (vents a little more than the 360)
Hyper 3 reg broken in (about 15 cases through)
OP 145 -150 psi (last time i checked cause I got rid of the gauge)
Virtue Oled board at 12ms and PSP 12.5 ramp...other stuff was stock on the baord
virtue eyes and kila dtents but those 2 donŽt make much of a difference.
I was +/- 3 that day on the chrono, I believe conditions were near perfect and it shoot smoother than a luxe one of my team mates had on him (lol canŽt still believe that my self)

Nope. It's a why we love IONs thread now.
I love my GCPB Ion. Easy bolt out back and a killer look on top of my Element frame, and it only cost me 350 to build from scratch. And most people I've played with don't believe me when I tell them that it's an ION.
Do you?
And the platform is so mod friendly. I've seen so many put inside airsoft shells for the scenario crowd, and i've made a couple mechanical versions and one mag fed version just for kicks. And it was super easy! The mech ion is still my favorite rec marker.

Too bad you can't just buy this stuff anymore. They're sweet even by today's standards.

I loved my ion I remember when I first started everyone I played with we all had our own ions.
I had some problems and I will love on the higher ends, I love my old ego. She's purdy I personally went Etek after my ion because some issues I had with the bolt. I just prefer the outer bolt on the ego.
I'm convincing my friends that are just getting into it to try to get an ion! I know they would love it.

I still have my first ion which was the second marker I ever bought years ago and I still get it out every once and a while. I mean it absolutely hates the cold and breaks paint when it's really cold outside but I have that issue with most of my markers but over all it's been a solid marker and I almost always recommend that rookies get an ion if they are going to be playing speedball. It's a great marker for the price

So while I don't hate Ions by any stretch, the reason I bought an ego and I am selling my ion is the difficulty in dealing with brittle paint and difficult maintenance compared to an Ego or Etek.
