got the same issue with this sound I relubed everythng twice, changed oring on that black screw, tighten it well but nothing helps. what should I do next?
I've never liked egos but I found one I like. A dude locally owned it and tuned it. With my shift barrel on it, it shoots marginally louder and a little kick vs the clone. But gets close to 13 pods so it's good. Best shooting poppet out there is a G6 though.
Dude, you worry too much... I guess that's from being a tech, but I put dow55 between my fingers and kind of smear it into a thin layer. When I apply it to the orings it is almost just the residue on my hand. Applied correctly there's not enough excess to move.

That is you, I dont worry about your stuff due to me knowing your back ground. . Im more concerned about new people coming to macdev and hearing dow 55 on the marker. Dont want them making a costly mistake that can ultimately damage parts internally. I worry only cause I dont want people going to the extreme when most likely its a simple fix.
Yeah I had this one dude at an MSXL try to tell me you use Dow 55 on the GT. I was like I'm pretty sure you don't want Dow55. HE was like "well whatever lube that swells the orings you want to use".
Well... you can't fix stupid. I'm not sure it exists but a lubing guide probably needs to be created for clones seeing as how sensitive they are to overlubing.

If it sounds like that it's likely the 4x1 o-ring that is on the base of the black screw that secures the reg housing to the frame. The screw inside the reg housing, not the other silver screw on the outside of it that also secures it to the body.
Make sure that screw is snug as well, if it's loosened up it could also make that sound.
Does your marker sound anything like....mine did? lol (was 100% user error/retardation)
Had the same issue today, mine sounded the exact same.
I relubed the 1X4 like everybody said and tightened down my reg tighter this time and it continued so I did as ShootNPoo said and reset my reg pressure to 0 and re chronoed and it went away. I have a feeling its just the gun being over pressurized and telling you noooooooo.
