look up some good track sprint workouts. Might look at areas such as training for 400m you'll be able to do a lot of sprinting and won't be tired after every little sprint.

lift weights also, being stronger will definitely improve your game

I'm sorry to bring this back up, but Insanity makes you do so much that it will get you in shape for anything. Whether you are a woods or speedballer, you will be ready. However if you are not able to get the videos of Insanity, then I highly recommends that you not only do squats and pushups, but do other exercises that get your heart rate up.

Like other have said look into crossfit...

If you can't afford crossfit you can do similar types of work outs as well. I do these when I can't make it to my crossfit class..

I'd also at least recommend buying a pullup bar for $30.

You could pick 4-5 of these work outs and do 4-5 rounds and be done in 20-30min

15 pushups (you can do all sorts of pushups... wide, regular, diamond)
15 situps
15 air squats
10 pull ups
200-800m run (depending how your cardio is)
10 burpees (google it)
40 mountain climbers (google it)
30-40 hollow rocks (google it)

If you want to spend another $20-30 build a box for box jumps...

You can literally do any combination of the work outs listed above. Lower the amount of rounds and raise the amount of reps per work out and vice versa. Keep shocking your body.

Let me know if you have any questions.
If you can't get a more structured workout (P90X, Insanity, Crossfit, etc.) this will work. Does not cost must, just your time. I would add in try to run 2-4 miles a day. If you can't run that far, start with walking 2 miles, then run for a little bit and walk. Keep increasing how far you run. It will not take long before you will be running the whole way. Then slowly increase your distance. If you can get to the point where you can run for 2 miles, you will be amazed at how much it helps your game.

Just my 2 cents, hope it helps. Good luck.

I know this is an old thread but its starting to become colder and darker sooner, the world cup is over.... its "off season" for a lot of people.

Now is the time you really want to work on getting in shape for next summer.

I love the idea of cross fit I just do not believe it is executed properly all the time. Make sure to take it slow and learn the correct forum before speeding things up. Make sure your teacher focuses on form first! Lifting weights with bad form is dangerous no matter how light the weight.

Insanity is one that I tried and would 100% recommend it. IMO its perfect for paintball. Its fast paced, focuses on fast twitch and insurance, uses only your body weight (do not need much weights for paintball) and is extremely high intensity cardio! whats not to love about the results?

any way train hard, eat right and have fun!

Having a program to stick to is the best. I'd prefer Insanity over P90X because there are more movements involved to work different areas. Both will get you fit, that's for sure.

For cardio, go for a run around your neighborhood or park. And at random points, sprint to a target that's 50 - 75 meters out. These short bursts of sprints will add a lot of fitness to your condition.

Try this 5 minute workout:
1 minute of pushups (slow proper form, hold for one sec at the bottom)
1 minute of jumping jacks or burpees
1 minute of wall sit or body weight squats (hands on head like a prisoner)
1 minute of lunges (alternating left and right)
1 minute plank (alternate lifting legs up)

No break in between the exercises. Rest one minute and repeat this superset in reverse order.

You guys should get that new T25. Ive done Insanity twice, and even though its only 25 minutes, its pretty hard. 25 minutes of straight work. There are no breaks. And its only 5 days a week with a stretch day on Sunday.
