Interestingly enough, the Jags get the best attendance numbers of any Florida-based NFL team.
The percentage doesn't mean much in the case of Jacksonville since they have entire sections of their stadium closed off, but I'll post it for ****s and giggles.

The closed off section doesn't count for or against. We seat ~67k with the tarps. Without, we would seat ~82k.

seeing as you dont sellout even with the tarped seats, i doubt your attendance would suddenly spike if you opened them up.

Well yes, it does count against them. I was never very good at math, but I don't think that 65,000 is 97% of 82,000.

Lol. We're one of the smallest markets in the nfl, without the tarps we'd have one of the largest stadiums. We finished 20th in attendance with a 2-14 record. Sit down, ya bish.

But the 82k isn't relevant is what I'm trying to say. The tarps are just like the seats aren't even there.

They are there. They are tarped off. Because tarped off seats are slightly less ugly than swatches of open seats on TV

But they are there. They just had to close them off because they weren't being used. Other stadiums could do the same thing if they wanted to artificially boost their attendance percentage.
Like I said, it's nice that they can still get a decent amount of people to come to the games despite the team being so bad, but the capacity percentage doesn't mean anything.

with 4 seats open they might sell out most of their games.

They really aren't. Per the league/team, our max capacity is 67k with the option of adding on seats. Tarps aren't just on there because empty seats are ugly. Whatever's covered up isn't accounted for.

Fair enough, though other teams don't have stadiums as large as ours sans tarps. We're still in the middle of the pack for capacity.

20th in attendance, last in team value. Of course you'll have high attendance with 20 dollar tickets. Bring those up to the prices of normal NFL tickets and you'd be blacked out.

If it isn't one thing, it's another for someone. Bottom line is attendance hasn't been a problem since 09 and will continue not to be in the future.

Of course it won't with the Jags charity ticket prices. The big question is will your team actually be worth something, and the answer is no

We could trade stadiums if you like. Soldier Field has the lowest seating capacity in the NFL.

oh no, they spent over a half billion "upgrading" it, just didn't do anything of real value. bears played in champaign for a full season, you think they could have found somewhere to just build anew stadium. maybe with aretractable roof so their horrid field wasn't an issue every season.

Beats me. One of the largest markets in the league having the smallest stadium doesn't make much sense. And with such a low seating capacity there's pretty much no chance Chicago will ever host a Super Bowl.
