I wouldn't say it's near Chicago. Chicago is 3 hours west. I will agree, it is a very nice facility though, it used to be used for indoor motocross.

I just wish we had a place to actually play in the winter. Hopefully we have a weak winter and can get out there and grind early. There's no sense in getting out team sick or beat up in the off season playing in the rain/snow/cold/etc. I do agree however that this season we will take our game to the next level. We will finish this season champions again and nobody will take that from us.

Psht, with the way most of this winter went (*until recently, that is), you could have played outside with some thicker clothing!

I’m pumped for this season! Spring time can’t get here soon enough. We finished last season much better than we started, but to Houk’s point we want to play strong for the entire season… start to finish, no relying on a big fourth quarter play. Look forward to getting out on the field again!

Agreed. Hopefully with the same core group coming back we can hit the ground running. We need to build on last year not be struggling to get back to where we were at finals.

When can everyone go to Dave's this month? Just got over a week of the creeping crud. 90% in bed and it wasn't even the flu. Bad cold going around.

For everybody rostered for the 2013 season, I think I mentioned this at tryouts for all that attended ... If not then I guess its news to everybody.

If at all possible (and trust me I know we all have very busy and hectic work and personal schedules) I would like it if we could all start spring conditioning workouts (individually of course) and try to track eachothers progress and motivate eachother to try to get in better shape for the 2013 season.

Everybody knows that paintball is becoming a faster and faster paced game. Speed, agility, and endurance have never been more important than they are now. I know a few of us have already started (or been on a pre existing) workout schedule so I guess I was just hoping we could keep track for the teams sake to help motivate and encourage all team members to become more fit for this season.

Let me know if anybody has any ideas, or if anybody is intersted in keeping track of our progress with eachother.

This is a great idea and I think this is definitely important if we want to maintain a dominant competitive edge. There are boundless resources available online for training/workout regimens. If anyone else is interested in starting a weekly endurance/speed training program and starting some kind of "buddy" system to motivate each other to stay on track, give me a shout. The site offers template schedules for up to marathon training and beyond. Maybe if we got a group from the team together to plan for some kind of half marathon this spring, we could follow one of the training schedules as a group, but finish the runs as our own individual schedules dictate. Just an idea... anyone interested in looking into a group run we could train for?

There are a few half marathons we could consider in the Pittsburgh area.

If we did something like this, I would suggest we use the Intermediate Half-Marathon schedule from the Hal Higdon site or a portion of one of the Intermediate Marathon schedules.

obviously I'm in with ya Joel. I know Anthony and I have already started spring conditioning. Ive been doing *insanity* and believe it or not the results have been fantastic so far. Anthony has been hitting the weight room with a couple of his other buddies and working on cardio and weights.

This marathon is a great Idea, it gives us motivation as a team to do something other than paintball together and keep eachother motivated for reaching a common goal, much like this season.

hey there sharks its calfo with my f*** up neck my doctor told me one more good blow and there's a great chance it will break he said pretty much my paintball playing days are over it will never be 100% again im going to try and play a little street hockey but that's about all I can handle I guess all my crazy moves didn't pay off in the end lol but I still keep in close contact with matt and he said you guys could use a good snake coach so I would love to still come to practice and evens when I can so if you guys are still would like ill try to make as many as I can Im starting a new job the moving company is starting to take a real tool to my body from my injury but if the team would like me to help out with coaching tell matt and he'll let me know either way good luck this season and im really going to miss tearing it up in the snake and playing with such a great group of guys hope to see all of you guy again real soon and you better kick some a$$ this season for me good luck boys and girls (drew) lol jk no homo I loved you all and always have a great time weather we won or lost the shark are more than a team you guys were like family to me and if you need me ill be there

Calfo, it's great to hear from you bro. We really miss having you around and would be honored if you would come back to the team as our coach. You have a wealth of experience to convey to the organization and I'd love to see you around again. Get ahold of me sometime man, just shoot me a text or whatever.
