pretty sure any paintball bolt oil would work for the bolt. I use tri-flow because it was relatively inexpensive, Bob recommends it, and it smells like bananas.
yes, 55 on the reg. In fact, 55 on every o-ring, BUT the bolt o-rings.

Thanks!
Used my vic at reball tonight, shot great, but stupid me didn't bring my gear bag and the eyes got gummed up so I couldn't clean them. Also started leaking down the barrel once it got dirty (field doesn't clean their reballs)
question though, my vic was shooting 285ish with the stock pressures, but I had to lower the hpr to get my velocity down to 250 so now my hpr pressure is wicked low, should I adjust the lpr to reflect that?

How are your pressures now? If everything is cycling well I wouldn't worry about it too much.

I didnt want to start a new thread so I'll just bump my old one...
The local players are really ragging on me for buying a Vic, local guys seem to swear that Vics are garbage. I'm liking mine so far, but its winter so the best I've done is a bag of old paint in the back yard. I've had issues using it with reball but I'm fairly certain that a dwell increase will fix those issues (just seems to stick, then lots of reballs just kind of sputter out of the gun)
I'm not sure what it is but all the players around here seem to have a strong disliking for BL products. They say they work great until they stop working, then they are impossible to fix.
I'm still planning on keeping my Vic, but has me worried that this reball issue isn't going to be just about the reballs.
(After cleaning and lubing the gun it works great for about 4 points of hopper ball, then the sputtering issue begins, shooting at 250FPS **not sure on the pressures atm, since I reset them to stock after I cleaned it last** Also the reballs have literally NEVER been cleaned)

Probably a stupid question. Is the Vic an inline poppet? I am a little confused because people keep comparing it to an Axe (inline) and a Geo (spool).

Thanks. Have really liked BL after cutting my teeth on a Vice, but I am a gun whore at heart and would like to give a Victory a try.

Meh, I feel like mostly younger players tend to hate on BL's stuff. I wouldn't worry about it so much. If you like it, that's all that matters.
Did you buy your Vic new or used?
I traded for mine and the first thing I did was tear down the LPR, HPR, and Engine. Did a complete rebuild with fresh o-rings and Dow 55. The hardest thing to get to is the LPR and even that's not too bad.
It's been great all the times I've had it out. Had some bolt stick the other weekend, but all I had to do was bump up the ABS from 1 (off) to 2/3 and it was fine.
Haven't shot reballs with it, so maybe all that dirt is just no bueno.

I agree the younger players hate on BL ^ probably because they only want to pull the marker out of the gear bag, play all day, and toss in the gear bag for the next outting. I know with basic maintenance BL are just as reliable as any marker made.

Yah I'm not sure why people around here are having such bad luck with them, my guess would be lack of maintenance but I don't know how they treat their gear so it'd be silly of me to assume that's the case.
As far as the shooting reballs is concerned I'm fairly certain its just from the lower pressures mixed with the dry, dirty reballs. I'll try adjusting the ABS like you suggested next time I go out.

Got restless tonight so I took my Vic outside in -27C weather and ripped a little less than 2 bags on 2k PSI with only 2 ball breaks. I'm in so much love haha

Vic's are great guns. As long as you lube correctly (dow55 and no lube on the donut) and have pressures set you'll be golden. Iv owned many many guns, from CSL's to luxes to Clone GT's to G6R's. I still have a special place in my heart for Vic's. I really want another one, but my RL marq will just have to do
If you do not like the trigger, or think you want to change it at some point go and look at POWER triggers. They are fantastic and it just makes the Vic so much more comfortable imho to shoot. Just something about those triggers makes it that much more fun to shoot. I'd give it a try if I were you

So I've noticed that my Vic leaks from the ASA sometimes. From what I've gathered, it's typically just when it is in the cold. This weekend I had it outside but it was like -29C and it randomly started leaking. Even just transporting it from my house to the indoor facility it'll start leaking. Is this just from o-rings shrinking due to the cold?
Because after having it start leaking this weekend I took it home and once it was in the warm house it aired up fine. Is there anyway to prevent this?

Well the Victory and the Axe are both inline poppits. The Vic operates by increasing the force on one side of the poppit while the Axe uses both increasing and decreasing forces to actuate its poppit, but they are still both inline poppits. At least they are a lot more similar than the Geo.

You could try taking the orings out of the ASA and putting them in Dow55 over night. That might give them time to swell up enough so the cold won't cause shrinking/leaking problems.

Thanks MiniMag . I the thread I was reading was "I want a new spoolie" and 4 or 5 people recommended the Axe among the suggestions for Geo's, DM's, an others. I was confused.

The mini, though not a spool, is a fantastic value. I do think it funny when people hate on the mini and rave about the axe. For me, even if you take price out of the equation the axe is still a top 5 gun. Eigenbolts/ boss bolts make them shoot amazing.

I agree. Its similar to some hating a SC'd Closer but saying the Victory is the best gun ever. Its probably because its mainly marketed toward newer players who buy into hype.

I have owned both myself Mini is a great marker and very similar to Axe in most respects. I don' t normally hate on the Axe. I simply point out that the Axe has a micro switch for the trigger which some prefer. Plus tool less bolt removal again nice for many. Finally the on/ off ASA which can be bought for mini, but for the money I would start with an Axe.
That being said it is hard to pass up a used Mini at $150 which I see all the time. Frankly I would love to see a more teams use the mini just because they can!
