The extra holes are the vents for the spool. Dont plug them.
Its just odd that it has no reset/manual cycle button.
If I were teching it, I would pull the whole thing apart and test every piece. The only time I have seen a solenoid go bad was if it was crushed by the set screws in the front block or the plug was bad..

Yeah I have no clue about all of that. Haxorware is going to be sending me the data cable and the battery probably on monday so it may be a few days before I see it. Do you have a spare wire for the solenoid that isn't soldered like mine? Do you think it could be a bad solenoid?

I will dig around, but I probably do.
Hard to say. All a solenoid is, is a coil of wires with a plunger.
Not much to 'go wrong' there..
Ive never taken the 'throw parts at it till it works' approach, but if you have another solenoid to test I would do that. Or measure the voltage at the wire during a fire cycle...

Maybe working on my cars so much has given me that mindset. haha.
I will have to check the voltage tomorrow as I am not around my tools now. The solenoid is only $20 and I don;t know how many ANS has left. When I bought the button pad, about a week later they said they are permanently out of stock, so I do not want to miss out!

Well... I just looked it over and there is an orange button below the wire harness. I didn't have enough light to see it. When I push it, the solenoid cycles, and I turned the LPR a bit, and the gun seems to fire with this.

Ok, so that tells me the solenoid is getting enough air.
Aside from trying a new solenoid or wire, not much more I can think of.

Do you think the board is okay? Maybe it is something in the wiring.

Right now Im going to say the board is ok.
It could be the wiring, yes. I have had a few where the plug was too lose or broken and it caused intermitent solenoid opperation.

Alright so the o-ring from my regulator to the tank gave out unexpectedly and I have more on the way right now. I got a new battery from Haxorware, but it didn't work properly and he is sending me a new one as well. Did you ever find out if you have a spare solenoid wire? It is almost getting to the point where I might just send you the marker.

Im running out of things to have you try. It might just be easier to send it in..

What kind of pricing would we be talking about? I realize that it would vary, but if there were some ballpark numbers I could make my decision. Thanks.

Its $50 + parts + shipping. That includes a flash to 4.0.0 FW and timing/tuning.

I think I might go ahead and do this. Just so you can run through it and make sure everything is 100%. I will have to wait until I get the next battery though. You won't need the barrel or charger or anything right? I will find a good sized box to ship it in the next few days.

Ive got a barrel specifically for the reball I use and Ive got a charger and data cable yes. The ONLY thing I would need is the gun itself.
Ive got a game coming up on saturday so if you get it to me by then (ive got 'works well enough' batteries for tuning) I can really put it through its paces. It is blind (no eyes) correct?

Yeah the marker is blind. I have the one battery, and I have no clue how it performs really. Haxorware was wanting me to make sure the second battery is good so I can send back the first one. I wonder if it would even make it there by then, if I were to ship it tomorrow.

I'll see what I can do for tomorrow. Want to shoot me and address in PM? Would it be a business or residential? I can ship it from my work and it should cost less, even moreso if it is the same on your end. Thanks
