Fat's seem a little high, you could get away with less carbs, but I'm sure you'll be tapering down.

Yeah, that is true. With that I'd be at like 2700 calories, probably want to hit around 2500. Maybe I'll try to hit around 50.

I just don't understand the reasoning. I eat at least a half pound of beef a day, cutting or bulking. I buy 93/7, it's 8g of fat per 4oz. If I ate a half pound it would be 16g of fat, if I ate a full pound it would be 32. When I'm cutting I'm still likely trying to get 40% of my BW in grams, which is usually right around 70g. A pound of the beef I eat wouldn't even hit half of my fat intake, especially since I'm not taking into account the fat beef loses during cooking (4oz of 93/7 would likely wind up being 5-6g of fat after cooking). I don't see how that's unmanageable. Saying "can't eat beef because of fat on a cut" doesn't seem that different than outlawing any other food due to it's macronutritional content. No rice, too many carbs...no protein powder, too much protein.

Maybe you just diet different than me...you may cut your fat macro WAYYYY back or something. I don't like cutting fat back too much, I'd rather cut into carbs.

I feel like maybe I'm not understanding your argument...it just seems strange to exclude any decent food from a cut. If beef fits into where I want my macros and calories, why wouldn't I want it in my diet?

Ground beef to grades of 90/10 and below (80/20, etc) have too much fat for the protein IMO. 93/7 probably has a better fat:protein ratio.

I eat plenty of beef, just not ground.

I certainly wouldn't disagree that leaner cuts of beef would be a better idea for cutting because it gives you more versatility with your calories and fat macro. But at the same time, some people cut on higher fat/lower carb, and for them fattier cuts of beef might be nice to have in their diet. I guess what I'm saying is your statement was a bit too blanketed lol. There are just so many ways to approach cutting, trying to factor out foods seems like a bad idea. I mean, would you have an issue with someone eating 1/2lb of 90/10 beef and then eating a pound of chicken breast? Chicken breast has SUCH LOW fat compared to it's protein content (the stuff I buy is almost 100g of protein for 1lb, with maybe 6-7g of fat), that certainly adding the beef in would be a good idea.

Maybe you're assuming someone is getting fat from another source already. Sorry if it seems like I'm pulling hairs, just whenever I hear someone say "you can't eat ___ when you're cutting", it reminds me of back when the big concepts were "clean" foods and "dirty" foods, and there was just a lot of general dickery associated with that mentality lol.

Every day on this cut, I eat 4-5oz of jerky made from 96/4 GB, 9-12 oz of chicken breast, and 16oz of cottage cheese. This leaves me with 1200+ calories to eat for dinner. Also, reserves almost my entire carb intake to around my workouts.

Sounds like a good plan to me...

Never said you couldn't eat it. Just seems like there are better options is all. I'm only rolling about 25% of calories to fat, so if someone is higher fat then by all means.

How hard will it be to run a 10k if I haven't run one in 4 days. I have been eating fast food the past 4 days and have not worked out whatsoever.
