I'm pretty sure that for team practice at Paintball Explosion, it is $55/case and that includes entry (indoor airball field only)...
...haven't been able to make it for a while due to basketball, but there are usually 'singles' that get together to form a team...or if a team is short, someone wants to sit out, etc they may invite another player...
...always been a good group of people that show up, so make the trip and make some new friends while having some fun! :=)

I travel solo sometimes... I haven't been to explosion yet but have heard great things. I've been to OHare on a Thursday night and it was a good time. I usually head over to plex in LaOtto, In, it's a good time.
I've really only ran across maybe 1 jackbag since I've been trying different fields in the last 4 months but its ok, you could just tell he was a miserable person who hated life in general anyway.
If you're heading to Ohare, explosion, or feel like traveling to plex feel free to send me a pm... I dont care where I play, as long as I play.

Since you new to the area i would give all the local fields are try and see which you prefer before signing up or dedicating yourself a home field. you have atleast 6-7 fields within an hour of you. you can see what fields suits your style and interests more. if you need a quick air fill or need to try something on/out fox retail store is close to naperville.

I plan on making it out to fox, badlandz. ohare, and a few of the other ones that were mentioned. it seems like paint price is in the same range. I use to reff at a field in california, so i only paid 30 bucks for a case. its going to take a little while getting use to paying anything above 50 for a case lol.

Def keep an eye on Fox this summer. We have some HUGE changes coming your way, and we DONT charge INSANE prices on cases of paint.
Fox has one X BALL Field (New bunkers coming soon), a new spot for our 3/5 man Field (New bunkers already on site) ,and if all goes well, we may add a third Airball Field in the back parking lot area as well.
Good things to come to the Midwest Tourny Players this year!

I think that you might have missed that Team practice sessions are $55 for a case and Entry.
it's $85 a case for outdoor all year long.

Yeah those might be the closest but your just about in the middle of some great parks in the area. CPX, PBX and fox are all close. If your looking for just a store we (7paintball) are in Lockport, IL.

Team practice!!
I've played in team practice night and I had to pay 85 dollars instead of the airball only price (65)
Because I'm not in a team
Then worst part of all I couldn't even play because I had no f***en team

Really? They like to play the word game eh? Pretty shady they tell all they're welcome and then do that.
But I understand... gotta make a buck.

I don't recall being on a team as a requirement...many times we only showed up with 3 team members and would have a couple single players join us...
....maybe someone actually from PBE can clear this up?
But, the paint purchased for team practice can only be used for team practice...not on the other fields...

Yea that was pretty bad experience their and to top it off some big guy with an ego11 acted pretty cocky
I asked hey how much did u get yur case for he replies what. While still walking so I reiterate how much did u get yur case for so he replies a lot cheaper than you did
Valentines day I was at ohare talkin to a ref and some other guy and they all said they are cocky and not cool to deal with
Ohare and CPX are very friendly and cool
Even the chicks upfront are so stuck up and think you have they're time they keep talkin or laughin and the. They sell yu the paint

but they are realllll nice to look at haha im sorry you had a bad experience at pbx ive been there about 4 times now and have nothing but good things to say about it. playing by yourself you always run that risk of not getting many games in. I have seen multiple lone wolves come in and only pay 55. 2 of my buddies for instance.

Any info can help
Thankss!!!

I'm in the area as well...
When the weather starts to warm up (early April), I will start organizing 'throw together' practices again. We did them at CPX for team practice last year and everyone had a good time. This way you show up and have a team to play with instead of begging to 'hop on' with someone.
I have a normal group (ie: tournament play) and a pump group that I put together.
Let me know if you're interested in either. There are no commitments or tryouts, the only rule is that you can't be a butthole.
