3rd Gen Stock Regulator??

Tuning my 3rd Gen intimidator I couldn't get it past 250fps at 100psi ( i know too high) on the lpr. I upgraded the ram and the spring on the poppet to a lighter spring. I thought it was bc of the spring. I was about to tear it apart to replace it with the stock one and for some reason i checked the tightness of the regulator and it was still kind of lose. I took the trigger guard off and turned the regulator till one of the O rings was bulging out. Then did a quarter of a twist back. I then lowered the lpr to 60 and i was shooting at between 300 and 290.

My question is why am i jumping around so much with the fps? out of 5 shots it was 300, 289,295,292,299. Is this normal?

I am not a big fan of the elbow that doesn't pass the trigger guard unless i remove it is there a good aftermarket Regulator that works well like the CP Gen 3 Inline Regulator, or 360 Torpedo Inline Regulator?

Upgrades:
Eigen Ram w poppet spring
CP adj ram cap
BL 2 piece barrel
Empire 1.5 board
Old ASA (not sure what kind.) Want the new gear drive asa

Thanks,
Miller

Those numbers are pretty good. Alot will depend on the paint quality and paint to bore match.

Ok so the Reg is fine then i don't need to change it out. Any idea on a good trigger guard so i can twist this reg with out taking off the guard?

I'd set it and forget it. Lower that LPR a bit. No need to be over 80.
