One thing to add that wasn't covered in this video. When you're actually sliding you should always try rotate your head toward the guy who's most likely laning you, and keep the rest of your body in that same line. It's hard to do on grass but on turf or carpet it's easier. Basically you want the guy shooting at you to only see a head and shoulders if possible, which is the smallest target profile.
So, head and shoulders facing the guy shooting at you: -0-
If you slide with your whole body facing the laner you get this: ---0-----| which is obviously a larger target.
