Luxe efficiency and small leak

As of now, two pods takes exactly 1,500 PSI of air out of my 68/4500

Messing with the FT doesn't change much.

I checked all orings, re-lubed everything, etc. I can't see anything wrong.

Also there is a VERY slight leak coming down the barrel (you literally have to cup your ears around the breach to hear it, it's a very slight "bubbling" sound)

^This leak isn't enough to cause the poor efficiency and also was NOT fixed by swapping to a different core.

Ideas? I'm at a loss

I would suggest filling your tank to 4500 PSI, and going out and playing with it and seeing how many pods you can shoot off a FULL fill. You should get 7-8 pods and a hopper.

A have seen a lot of tank gauges that are off...

Air was only filling to 3k today.
Last weekend on 4.5k I was getting about 4 + a hopper

Check your dwell, and always try to bore correctly, If your dwell is too high it's wasting tons of air.

No it's not. The Luxe dumps a metered amount of air. I run my dwell at 18ms and the efficiency is the same as it is around 14ms (a hopper and 7 or 8 pods).

well i can tell you this. all leaks affect efficiency. the leak might be bad when the bolt cycles forward. fix it first and go from there. might have to change some o rings on the drivetrain

Dwell is at 15
Barrel bore is correct

I tried swapping in an entirely different core and the super slight leak was still there, so I'm assuming the problem isn't with the core

Just swapped all the powercore orings and the regulator as well.

Still same problems.

EDIT:
Just noticed, the leak is from the front right body plug, not down the barrel

Haha I just fixed my front right plug a couple days ago. Take it out CAREFULLY, do not strip it. Use a sharp/fresh allen key and don't over torque.

Clean the threads on the plug and in the body as well as you can and then loctite it forever.

yes blue will work, but red it suggested because you dont ever have to touch them. Also like the other guy said, be very careful taking them out. I stripped mine and I thought I was being careful hahaha.

Also as someone else said before, try to fill the tank all the way up and then go play with it. when I shot one pod and went off how much that go me, i was only getting 7 pods. But when I tried and legit efficiency test and when until it started to drop off 20 fps from what I originally shot at I got 8 and a hopper. Thats an extra 2.5 pods which I would say is a big difference.

Mine was really easy to take out. No more force than a well tightened grip screw

Well, we'll see when the loctite dries

That's great! Should help. Let it cure overnight, you may have known that.

Then test things out and let us know how it works and we'll go from there.

Try to never use red. If for ANY reason you would need to remove that screw only heat will break it loose. If your efficiency still suffers, check the middle can oring for snugness. It should not be loose on the bolt.
