My first time attending living legends and I'm only 17...
If i pre-register online using my father's card, how would they be able to identify me at the event? would they require my ID or my father to be present during the event?

for those who live far away from the event(like me in AZ) how do you transport your gear? I dont think I will be able to drive this year, so if you fly do you ship your gear separately? I would think between gearbag and toolbox it would be hella expensive and a pain to fly with multiple markers/tanks.
Not sure if it is better to UPS them to a hotel or CPX or if thats even allowed.

I fly with paintball gear all the time. Just make sure it is degassed and packed securely in your checked luggage. Generally airlines want luggage to be under 50 lbs so pack smart.
You will need to ship your tank if you can't remove the regulator though. You can most likely ship it to a friend going or straight to the hotel. Regs have to be completely removed from the cylinder to fly.

ok, im good on removing the reg so that shouldnt be an issue, I do know my gear back is way way over 50lbs so I will have to trim some stuff down or find someone I trust to ship my stuff to. lots of plans to make.....

Or take a second bag. Southwest allows you to fly with 2 bags for no additional charge.

There's plenty of space to camp at CPX. No showers though.
Paint is most certainly not white box crap paint. Last year it was either Evil or Marballizer, just be smart and pre-order.

Hydration cannot be stressed enough!! Whatever you think you plan on drinking, double it. Also, if you're local, EZ-Up style tents, especially with one of these attached, can be a life saver to relive the sun from baking your brain to mush. See ya out there!!

Good point for sure. A couple years ago, there was a pretty steady stream of ambulances (ambulii?) taking heat casualties to the hospital. Nobody wants to be that guy!

In addition to hydration, electrolyte replenishment is extremely important. Hyponatremia is a common heat related illness that occurs when fluid intake is high but sodium levels decline. I'll just say that it is not fun at all.
So just keep in mind that sometimes just drinking water alone isn't enough.

I've been that guy in the past, although not at paintball events. Had our platoon medics threaten to stick me for an IV back in about 94 or so.

IV Fluids are not fun. At all. What's the weather typically like in mid-May in Chicago?

The last five have been hot, humid, and brutal. But we don't talk about the leather leading up to an event.
