Ok think logistically like UPS for a sec.
You want them to spin a wheel and magically change the field dimensions, number or bunkers, placement, number of refs, etc between each game depending on what they land on?

This is amazing, basically the second to last event is HUGE.
Challengers want to win it to play pro at World Cup, and Champions want to not get bumped down for it.

And this is why the concept won't be transferable to new comers, non-paintball players, and casual spectators. It's just not easy to follow.
The overall idea sounds interesting but it seems like it's just another gimmick. In the long run this will probably grind out teams on the edge.

Yea i dont get whats to be confused about.
Basically there are two brackets in the PRO divison.
Champions: The top 10 teams of the pro divison. These matches will appeare on the webcast and they will get all the glory. Bottom two in the end of the tournament end in challenger bracket the next tournament
Challenger: bottom 10 teams in the pro divison. These teams fight for the opportunity to compete in the Champions divison. 1st and 2nd will compete in the champions bracket next event. Also the challenger divison is a great opportunity for new teams from europe or div1 to get used to new rules and teams while still getting the chance to play against the best of the best.

I don't know if it's included or has been said, but they might want to implement a temporary lockout when a Champion team is demoted to the Challenger league. Otherwise, the top few teams will play on the fence constantly; not that it's a bad thing, forcing lesser teams to nut up, but it will certainly lack consistency for the flip flopping teams!

I can see CEP doing it but Aftershock has a successful pro heritage to uphold. No offense to the CEP dudes btw. Aftershock dropping to semi-pro would be an embarrassment to the program. I think both teams might benefit from this. Motivation to perform for every team quiet frankly. I think it should be relegation per season not per event though. It works well in the millennium series.

I think it should move back to raceto-x so the best teams can be more obvious and the teams teetering on the bubble don't get relegated due to some weird tie breaker. It would make more sense to me and could make for some very interesting come backs.
