Axe ASA Lever is Loose When De-Gassed?

Hey all,

The lever on my ASA is loose when my marker is degassed. Is there any way to tighten the lever so that it doesn't hang down when i'm carrying it around degassed?

Thanks

probably a broken spring in the asa and it voids the warranty to open it up so send it in they should have no problem fixing that.

I don't know if you can buy the part in question but it is pretty easy to disassemble and I don't think it is going to void the warrenty. I've disassembled the lever a few times to clean out dirt.

If you remove the screw (top) that holds in the lever, a small rounded wedge (bottom) will come out. You may have to thump the ASA against your palm to get it out. The .5" spring should be in that wedge piece. Just remember how it goes back into the ASA. The spring should be pointing up towards the bolt and the spring side (versus the slanted side) should go towards the front grip.

Try depressing the valve pin in the ASA (the part that pushes on the pin on your tank) while the lever is in the degassed position. Maybe the spring is missing and the little wedge piece is just stuck down there. When you push on the pin, the wedge should rise slightly. Try some needle nose pliers next, something small like mine:
