Yes. I included that in my section of big differences. A tenth of a second can be noticeable.
My point is more that you pay a big premium for the "1000HZ Extreme FRAG MODE CALL OF DUTY MOUSE" when you could just get a normal mouse and up the polling rate in the software/firmware. I would be willing to bet that only the extremely elite (if possible at all, mind you) players could even tell the difference between 500hz and 1000hz. Or even less really. 500Hz vs 100Hz is a difference of 1ms. 1! It's only 7ms for the 125Hz normal mouse to the 1000Hz gaming mouse. Hell, even the ping on those 10ms severs randomly fluctuates more than 7ms over the course of a match.
How many kills really come down to 7 MILLISECONDS unless you are playing in world class leagues and you need every single possible advantage? Most people would be better off saving the money, taking the day of from work, and practicing actually PLAYING THE GAME.
If you're a world class player, go for it. If you are playing in pub servers, the hardware is waste of money. Worry more about getting a comfortable mouse or a monitor that you like the colors on.

You don't seem to realize that lag in moving your mouse on the screen isn't really comparable to server lag. I just used 100ms ping to show how huge it is.

So why did you compare them directly in your post? Please explain to me the differences between server lag that varies constantly and exists on the on the order of 100's on milliseconds, and the mouse lag that is maximum of 7ms consistently.

No way man, it helps me in BF3. I use it to call in airstrikes. More DPI = more ammo.
