From what I can tell, the IDQ's are more SQ while the SA's are more SPL? If so, would the IDQ's in a sealed box still have good volume for some rap and/or dubstep? If so then those might be my winners

IDs and IDQs would be better for SQ, yeah.
Not sure how much a beating they can take, though. People throw a ton of power at SAs. They're rated at 600 but plenty of people double/triple that.
For what it's worth, I've bought two sets of ID component speakers so far, and been happy with them for the most part. They're what I run now and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.
Don't expect crazy SPL levels and you should be happy with them.

It's all in the box, I ran 2 DD2515s on 2k and it sounded amazing on all music, and I listen to mostly rock and some metal.

Okay everyone I think I've decided on the IDQ's, with a sealed box and some sort of amp (if anyone has suggestions here feel free to throw it out) but thanks for the help guys I really appreciate it

Yeah, IMO, if you wanna get loud and sound alright, SA's would be the way to go. If you really want it to sound great and don't care if the car next to you can hear it, then IDQ would be the way to go.
EDIT: You posted that just as I posted this lol

Ahaha I hate when that happens^ and I wish I could just try them both out xP I know with headphones I take quality cans over the Dr Dre ones, but I feel like in a car I could go either way. Does a place where you can go and try out subs like these exist? i know best buy used to have stations for Car Audio, but the ones by me only have em showing with no audio nowadays.

Unfortunately, without knowing someone with that setup, you really don't have any options for listening to them.
I love how loud my SA8's get and how little space they take, but I kinda wish I had gone with an SQ driver. I've had SQ subs up until this point. I'll probably go back to them whenever I decide to re-do my system again.

Advice on a good 4 channel under $400? Don't mind going used at all, I just don't know which brands will do rated power.

There's lots under 400 you can get. Pretty sure some of the Sundowns are 400 or less

Sundown's SAX125.4 is a hell of an amp. They're 500 new, I assume you can get one used for $400.
If not, the SAX 100.4 is just under $400 new.

he's got a 500 budget and you guys are suggesting he spend it all on sub/amp/box right after he's talking about he wants SQ? lolz
Get a cheap sub like a Kicker CVR 12, sealed box, cheap 4 channel. Bridge rear channels to power the sub, and spend the rest on decent components so you can actually hear your music.

He said he has a 500 budget for just adding a sub, I thought.
Also I'm starting to hate my head unit with a passion. The EQ sucks. I have pretty damn good drivers and amps but it still sounds meh. Doors are sealed, everything is off-axis but I can't fix that. It gets very loud and stays clean but it needs EQing that's better than my head unit can provide.

I listen to everything, but mainly Metal, Rap and Dubstep. I love heavy hitting bass, but I also would like a bit of tightness in my sound as well. I don't have my car yet but I'm planning on getting a Civic or Accord (first car), and I have a fairly large budget, so lets say around $500 and under? What I was thinking about getting was a performance ten and a ported enclosure, but I'm not really even sure about that. Besides that I have no idea what brands/models I should pick up or what type of amp either. If anyone's willing to help me out, a post in here or a PM would be much appreciated! Thanks so much and have a good one

Test light? dude, buy a DMM at radio shack for $15. It's not great but its multitudes more useful than a test light.

not getting power through the fuse could mean maybe a wire came loose on your harness or something as simple as that. Or you could open the radio and find a burn on the board.
