pitting and anno
I have a dynasty body with pitting allover it from paint being left on it for too long, is it still possible to get it anno'ed? would the anno make the pitting less noticeable?
thanks!

Most of the time pitting gets worse after stripping and is very visible after anodizing.
Sometimes it can be worked out before anodizing, sometimes it cant.
Post some picture if you could. I would like to see it.

haha chomp saw...
Pits do not fair well when buffed..they tend to make really bad drag marks.
I would start out with a small rough sanding disk on my die grinder...then move on from there.
Is there any pitting on the bores?

I can bead blast it with glass bead and it will clean it right up.

No it won't! That is beyond bead blasting. It may help even it out a little but the pitting on that thing is a lot deeper than any bead blast will be. I have never seen paint do that to a gun. I have seen some nasty mold do something similar.
I don't think we are getting the entire story as to what happened to this gun. I've seen guns that went through house fires that look better off than that. I want more detail. As was asked before, how do the internal surfaces of the gun look?

My suggestion... get some sandpaper... lots of it. Increments from 200 to 1200 grit and work your way through them until the pitting is gone. Good luck.

If you do it in dust with a fine splash you could potentially get it to a place where it looks acceptable. It might not actually be functional at this point though depending on how bad the pitting is internally.
The reason it looks so bad (I would bet) is because shocker bodies are made of 2XXX series aluminum instead of 6061, and don't play as nice with anodizing (and stripping). This is also why you get so many more shockers with faded ano's than any other marker.
