wtf!!! check this out????!!!! A1
ok bare with me because this is a tricky one.
i got my a1 fixed recently along with upgraded magna parts.
everything was running fine, other then a minor leak, i was told i have to break it in. ANYWAYS, after hundreds of shots, i refilled my tank, installed it and BAM massive air leak. so right away i checked the solenoid and the magna stem. immediatley i noticed the stem wasnt in place, so i put it back and everything seemed fine, then once agian i loaded up some air and BAM, AGIAN. so once agian i check the stem. this is when it gets strange. i immediatley noticed that the magnets from both the stelenoid and stem where sticking? wtf? they are suppose to be negative so they can keep away from each other right? after looking at the stem, yup the magnet was some how up side down, causing it to stick with the solenoid. so, i had antother magna stem and replaced it and everything was fine, but then once agian BAM, air leak!! wtf?? so i got the old stem and was able to take the magnet off and place it corrctly and it worked (but for how long?). whats really strange is the newer and older stem's magnet suddenly got turned upside down?
hope i didnt confuse anyone. heres a pic. let me know what u guys think, and what i can do. much love

The solenoid is the electronic valve at the back of the gun - what you've got there is just the Magno volume chamber plug and valve stem.
Looks and sounds like the magnet came out of your valve stem (a common problem), and then flipped around because of the attracting force of the other magnet on the volume chamber plug. Super glue is indeed your friend in this instance. Just re-glue the magnet back on to the valve stem, noting the proper polarity.

Don't make the same mistake that I did. I ended up having to buy a new stem as I super glued the magnet in backwards.
The second time I noted the correct orientation by putting a dot from a permanent marker on the side of the magnet that is supposed to face the plug.

I have found that if you need to re-glue this, the best thing to use is Loctite Control Gel Superglue. Others will work, but the cheaper ones seem to get brittle and not hold as well. I tried a number of different brands, nothing worked as good as this one.

I've actually used a small amount of JB weld with good success.
The loctite glue as jay suggest is good as well, it seems to resist oil/grease better than most glues.

i used a special glue used for Aquiriams/vivariums due to it was the only glue i had at the time(cost about $30). im sure it will work, it withstands water and humidity and is safe for animals, and my gun is a ANIMAL. lol so far its holding down, no problems thus far.

I used KrazyGlue brand super glue. Been holding fine for a while now. Certainly better than the 50ish cycles the initial adhesive lasted.

Is there anywhere to get a replacement magnet? The one on my a1 fly cracked. The magnet is now sitting in a nice stack of magnet crumbs.

I don't know the diameter off hand, but you just need to find one that matches. Radio Shack carries a small selection of rare earth magnets. If you can't find anything local try a specialty place like this: http://www.kjmagnetics.com/categories.asp

I have some, I can send it with the next batch of stuff coming towards NJ if you want. I have Mike's guns here, and can send one with those.
