2.0 generally as long as your dwell isn't the stock setting for a 1.0 (14) and it is atleast 12 or lower. I've heard of a lot of of 2.0 cores working at 10ms or less.

Dwell does not affect the efficiency of a luxe, there is no benefit to running a low dwell.

Very true Wasted!! In fact, lower dwell will often reduce consistency and reliability but gives no meaningful gains in efficiency or performance.

It seems like folks are getting slightly more efficiency from the 2.0 cores from what I hear, but either way Luxe efficiency is normal spool valve efficiency... 8-9 pods of a 68/4500 just like a geo 2+, DM, etc.

I understand the luxe fires off a metered amount of air, however I still believe there are minute gains to be had by a lower dwell as long as consistency isn't affected.

Indeed, but not worth risking decreased efficiency and consistency IMO.

One thing I've found, is that I need way more efficiency if I lack consistency because I have to shoot a ****load of paint to hit anyone!!

I play back i dont have much of a choice when it comes to shooting alot of paint i go through more pods per match than most average ppl shoot in a month lol it must be nice when ppl play snake and shoot all of 50 balls must be nice. Im usueing spoolies this season so im not exspecting g6r case and half effiency but i do need to try to get ad much shots per 68/4500 as possible.

The amout of paint required to play back varies a great deal depending on your division and the format. If you are playing PSP, with the new dimensions, if you are shooting more than a hopper and 7 pods, your team isn't doing it's job. You should be totally fine with a 68ci tank in almost any division.

If you are playing NPPL, you may or may not need more paint than that. My team won HB and Chicago in 2011 using Luxes and none of us carried more paint than that. We all used 68ci tanks. That was Division 3, but you can probably get away with that up to Division 1 or so as long as you have competent forwards.

my 1.0 with 2.0 core 1.5 board gets 9+ pods and a loader off a 68/4500 which is plenty for any Xball player.

yes indeed he hit that right on the nail head my former team (last season) did not do thier job the two back players dj and myself were the only two who could actually hold a field and do our jobs and close/win games however the stress of only 2 ppl out of 8 ppl doing all of the work certainly showed last season... its nice to have an expierneced player point that out.

how much paint i carry on me depends on what series i play when i play xball/psp 4 pods if i play nppl 5-6 pods i dont always use appa to register for events but when i do i choose desackies stay thirtsy my friends... and if im a good boy this summer not only will i be playing milp/psp/nppl but even maybe millenium series on grandmas exspense yay tea breaks at noon!

in all seriousness though i dont want to get off topic

Ninja's new dura 77 ci tank can help I imagine. I posted some pics between the 68 and 77 tank on one of these Luxe efficiency threads. Basically, the 77 is one inch longer than the 68. An extra 9 ci's can definitely help! My work schedule has kept me from trying it out since I've picked up the 77. Best of luck!

The 77 is amazing! You will love it once you use it.
