Mini leaking down the barrel! Help!!

I just went outside to test fire my Invert Mini because I have someone interested in buying it. Its been shooting fine until now. I aired it up and shot about 4 paintballs through it and it started leaking down the barrel. I lost about 1,000 psi in a couple seconds. I don't have the manuel for it (I bought it used and it didn't come with one) and I've never owned a Mini before so I'm not too familiar with them. I'm really hoping this is an easy fix, maybe just a blown O-ring? Thanks for any help.

Sounds like air is leaking through your pop-it valve. When I first got my mini it was used and I had the reg turned up too high and air got through the pop-it. Try turning down the reg and if that doesn't work I would pull the bolt assembly out and check out your pop-it and all your o-rings. Sounds like an easy fix either way though as long as the rest of the gun is still good. Hope that helps.

Unscrew the back cap all the way and eject the poppit. Check the white tip for any debris or breaks, if not, clean it off anyways as well as the inside of the bolt guide where the seal fits with a q-tip and then put the poppit back in. After the poppit is in, put the backcap all the way in to reset it. This should take care of it; also make sure to lube the oring a little. Try it and let us know.

What kind of battery do you have in it??? Please make sure that you are using a Duracell or better type of battery in the marker. Once you have that in there please reset your Solenoid, instructions are in the manual. For a poppet reset adjust in the back cap completely and air it up and slowly back it out about 3/4 to 1 full turns

I think I had a Energy Paintball battery in it when it started leaking, but I usually use Duracell batteries. I bought the marker used so I don't have the manuel for it.

Put an Energizer or Duracell in it before tearing it down. It could be the battery died and just left the solenoid open which caused the leak.

I know the battery didn't die because after it started leaking, the board was still on. But I'll still put a Duracell in it when I work on it.

Reset the solenoid. Put in a good battery, disconnect the air, turn on the marker with the eyes off, and pull the trigger 50x.

Is that how you reset the solenoid? Like I said, I've never owned a Mini before and don't have a manuel for it.

That is correct except you only have to hit it until it clicks about 10x

I just reset the solenoid (I let it click about 10 times). When I turned it back on after resetting it, the light was yellow but it is still leaking air.

sounds like ur poppet valve
had the same prob several times until i ungraded it to 2.0 poppet valve
go to ur local field
they can have it fixed pretty easy make 20 bucks to fix it ,,
it will be good after that i have several mini's egos.
.. mini's are somewhat bad for it .
easy way to test it if its ur poppet .
put ur tank on . screwthe back back all the way in ,, back it out slowly. until u reach 1 or 2 turns . turn gun on and eyes off . fire it a few times listen.
if still good back it out 1 or 2 more and stop ,, fire again if starts leaking its simple poppet valve..
its like a 12 dallor part.

I doubt my field can fix it. The only decent field within a couple of hours of where I live barely has a pro shop. Thanks for telling me how to test it though. Don't think I have enough air to try it out now, but when I go to the field this weekend I'll get my tanks filled and test it out.

I had the same or similar issue. I could pull the trigger 3 to 4 times and then something would stick and air would exhaust down the barrel. I grabbed a new battery and did both resets mentioned in this thread, and no luck. I then pulled the bolt guide and bolt out. Cleaned everything off, reapplied lube, and it shoots great now. Try that out. It may or may not help your situation, but a clean out and lube is never a bad idea.

I took the bolt out and cleaned it but haven't tested it out to see if it still leaks yet. Now I have to get a new battery harness since wires on the old one tore off.

I had this happen to me back when I had my Mini. It was just the battery. Before tearing it apart throw a new battery in there and give it a go.
