Does paint stain thru a Jersey?
I just got a Jersey for the first time and am wondering if the paint will soak thru my spec ops fusion Jersey and stain my expensive overload chest proctor.

It will not "stain" unless is pink paint or some crazy terrible cheap stuff maybe...
It might leave blemishes though, not legit "stains" you could get them out somehow.
bottom line though, paintball equipment gets dirty. your not out there to have spotless gear on. played in gear (at least to me) gets way more respect instantly.

If you're playing at a real field and you wash your gear when you get home, it shouldn't be a problem. Either way, staining shouldn't matter unless you plan on wearing the overload pad as a sleeveless shirt around town.

If you wash it quickly after use you should not have a problem.

Exactly! When I started playing paintball I used to play with a guy who literally wiped his gun down during the games.........it was so annoying. Needless to say he didn't last long lol.
You will get dirty, you will get greasy, you will get sweaty and you will stink. If you don't, you aren't doing it properly. The point is to enjoy the game, not sweat the petty stuff. Have fun and wash it as best you can later on.

You mean ***** poncho? lol. But yea, as long as you are not using some weird paint, and wash it right after you are done, you will be fine.

Premium (pink) Stains everything. I actually was surprised that it tinted my CF wrapped tank.

depends on the jersey and paint
my smart parts jerseys tend to stain whatevers under it
my dye jersey and valkens don't stain and don't leak paint under them

Same with red fill paint, which is why typically they don't make it anymore (and the fact it has a similar appearance to blood, people don't want paintball associated with real-life).

Paint always goes through my jersey and even pants. I have been wearing the same undershirt for 6 months now, (normal grey t-shirt) and it looks brand new. Washes right out. Pink WILL stain white, but comes out over multiple washes.
My suggestion, buy like a 5 pack of white Hanes shirts from Walmart for $10. No matter what kind of shirt, it still hurts the same. You shouldn't play paintball in polos and dress shorts lol. Just buy a cheap undershirt.

Pink is the only color I have seen stain clothing. Stay away from that and you should be fine.

i believe red fill is actually illegal, for that particular reason. i may be wrong, it might not be that the fill is illegal for manufactures to make, but its illegal for fields to sell it/allow it....i remember reading that somewhere a long time ago.

Yeah, pink will stain. When I bought my Crossfire 68/4500, I went to play at a BYOP field and someone was using pink paint and it stained my tank.

its not illegal its frowned upon red paint was used out here for a scenario event... i was disappointed in that it was red but i got over it quickly when the game began..
and if the op wants to wear a chest protector i say go right ahead potentially more bounces for him, i have a chest protector i never wear it but when my wife comes it rather protect her goodies and keep them nice if you know what i mean
