can you just make it PSP fire rates. It is just easier when every practice and every tournament is consistent.

Agreed. The Big Indian website has zero information as to what the event registration is. The person they have as the contct for information ships you right over to APPA. You HAVE to go to APPA to even view the registration cutoff date, which is February 19th, 2013 by 11:59 PM EST at the latest. Theres only 3 teams signed up for each D4 or D5 and only 1 of the D5 teams has even paid. On top of that, theres no information as to the layout or when it will be released.
Take all three of these issues into account and it makes it extremely unlikely that players will choose this event. We're looking to bring out 2 to 3 lines but not if our 2 to 3 lines are going to be playing against each other the entire event. If the management at the event is handled anywhere near as poorly as information is being conveyed, how can you expect a turnout? At the very least, release a field layout and change the BPS rate to 12.5 . It is a PSP ruled event so 12.5 is standard per the PSP guidelines and ruling. See the following link -
http://pspevents.com/wp-content/uplo...8_sep_2012.pdf
It states Section 9.3.6.1. "May fire no more than one paintball within 80 milliseconds (12.5 bps)".
Albeit this is stated as a guideline, it is a suggested fire rate and 98-100% of open running tournaments and series running under the APPA use a 12.5 BPS.

What happened to the good ol' days when it came down to your skill level... and not how many days you spend practicing on the layout.
While some of the other requested information is quite relavent and may prevent players from registering... the field layout should not be one of them.
Show up. Walk the field. Play paintball.

Its not a matter of skill level, I don't mind going out and looking the field over to play but players like to see the layouts now. Its become a pretty standard thing with most tournaments.

I'll agree it's become a pretty standard practice. I would not say it's done anything to advance the sport.
It's given a clear advantage to the team(s) with the larger budgets to play multiple days on a layout leading to an event.
I say it's a practice worth getting rid of at all levels of play, except the top level D1/D2 and pro teams.
For D-3 and below teams and especially brand new teams, it's certainly a disadvantage.

For the most part if you know how to read a layout, even if you don't practice the layout, you should be able to build a gameplan fairly easy. I think that's where it's more advantageous for lower ranking teams with less tournament experience than a handicap. You also don't always know what sight lines may change to to proper or improper bunker inflation etc. Its back and forth on whether its fair or unfair or if its a practice that needs to be outed.

This isn't PSP... So I made it 10.5 most of the players have no or little tournament experience I want teams to have fun...all the info you need is posted anything else once the team cutoff is met then I will call all the teams and let them know and it will be posted here. The layout is a true 3 man layout in size sorry this isnt PSP i created this layout from memory so be at field early and walk it or come Friday after 4pm. We have 11 teams registered in D5 4 have paid. So if you don't hear from me by Wednesday then text me call me...teams need to pay entry if you pay and the event is canceled you will get your money back. Thank you
