The 3M vynl has a noticeable feel/texture to it so I could see it helping more than a factory anno as far as grip goes. Now after it gets covered in paint/oil may be a differently story bud id still imagine the texture would yield more grip than the factory smooth anno in the same circumstances. I don't think it would yield as much grip as an aftermarket grip itself as the thickness of the two are nowhere near comparison but it would definitely look better in my opinion and perhaps give just enough extra grip to yield a bulky aftermarket grip unnecessary. I have not personally wrapped/tested a reg yet. Have a reg you want wrapped & want to put some field time on?

O snap more wraps! Gotta do some clean up cuts on this one. I did not get a lens or straps with the mask but ill throw on a misc lens I have around here for some HD pics after a tad more clean up.
It was green/camo. Now its green & Matte Carbon Fiber.

I'll post some more assembled pictures once I get the mask back into my hands. But I must know, how log did you have that set of red i4s in dye to get it to that color?

The ear pieces, strap and bottom portion of the mask actually are a pink however the outer lens area is more red than pink. The redish section is getting wrapped in green carbon fiber. The color i used was Pro Line Rite Dye Neon Pink. I let them boil for about 35-45 minutes. The pink took to the strap and ear pieces extremely well. The mask took but it started with a orange/redish hue. Ultimately the bottom section of the mask turned out the bright pink I wanted but the outer lens area is a tad reddish. But that section is getting wrapped to complete the watermelon theme

Hey just wondering how much wrapping Axe accents will cost me. That being the feedneck lever, bolt back, trigger, asa cap, and detent covers.

I just looked at some pics of the axe online & I can tell you it would honestly be easier to wrap the larger portions of the gun than the tiny accents. That rear back cap has holes or indention's within it would be nearly impossible to fill without overstretching the vynl unless you want the base anno to show through the hole area. The other issue is triggers, although a small amount of materials is used, they are generally hard to work with as they are tiny and require the tiny holes cut for the adjustment screws etc. Im not saying I cant do it its just it takes quite a bit of effort for parts so small. It would be easier and more reliable to do the larger items like asa, body, reg cover etc. Thoughts?

How would you remove the vinyl and how durable is it? Interested in getting my ego and shaft 4 back wrapped.
Also, what's the turnaround time?

To remove it you could just apply some heat such as from a hair dryer to loosen the material and then once you get a corner lifted it will peel off with a little effort. Its pretty durable as well, the 3mm vynl has a nice thickness to it but still remains stretchy enough to apply w/heat. They use this materials on cars and such and it seems to hold up to abuse quite well. Turn around time would probably be 2-3 days. If you need it done quickly im sure I can accommodate.

I tinkered around with clear coating the vynl today on some of my personal pieces and after testing several types of clear I found 1 that made an noticible difference.
Its hard to capture on a camera but in person its completely noticeable. After clear coating the already gloss black carbon vynl it makes the black more of a jet black instead of a grey/black. Its super glossy but you have to catch it at the right angle/light. Ill get the larger pieces I wrapped & cleared outside tomorrow for pics under the sun...i imagine its going to look pretty sick.
See for yourself.

Would it be possible to wrap a shaft 4 tip even with all the ports and the milling bend around them? Very curious. Or wrap it around the strips of porting and indentation?
