Anyone played around with Sabbots or tubes to launch grenades for launchers? Trying to figure out how to launch some paintballs and grenades without them blowing up inside the launcher due to the pressure force exerted on them.

I used to make my own sabots for the PVC shoulder launchers
I built. They were the type which used sprinkler valves and
which operated at around 100 psi. If that's the sort of launcher
you're talking about I can tell you how to make a decent multi
pellet round fairly easily. Give my office a call and I'll be glad
to lay out the details.

I used real thin cardboard sabots.

Tissue paper works too, thin cardboard can be a little too hard.

First one I tried was the paper bath room cups and cut slits from the bottom to the top, where it will open up. You got the round bottom part with the four side pieces still connected... (2 inch launcher)

I never did nads, just paintballs. It was too much trouble. I stuff some paper towels in the barrel, then dumped about twenty paintballs in there, then stuff another couple paper towels in there as wadding... I know, lazziness for you.

I used the thin cardboard from Xmas boxes for my rockets. I tried the bathroom cups for paint, worked pretty good.
