Invert mini or Dangerous Power G5

Can you guys list the pros and cons of them? Also, i've had experience with bad customer service before, so if there's a problem with the gun, which company is easier to get ahold and have them fix it? Which one shoots acurate?

Mini. Kee is great with their customer service. I've had terrible customer service with DP. Accuracy depends upon what barrel you are using and the paint you're using.

I know it not on the list but I don't know why it's not. AXE.
But between the two I would for sure say mini. Dangerous power is just way to inconsistent. I don't know much about the g5 but I know the previous Gs were just flat out inconsistent. If they worked sure they shot great. But that was few and far between.

Well my budget only allows me to get either a mini or g5. Is the mini easy to maintain? What're some common problems with it, also the g5?

The mini is relatively easy to maintain. Not sure about the g5

Ok then. I see all these different generations of minis for sale on ANSgear. There's an "Empire mini", "Invert Mini S.E", "Invert mini FS". Some of them are for $325, and some for $375. Can someone explain what all these are?

I have owned multiple DP markers (including a G4 and G5 currently) and multiple Minis. They are both easy to maintain. They are both great markers. I have never had a problem with either company because I never needed to contact either company. I prefer the feel of the G5 in my hands over the Mini. I also prefer the ASA, trigger and feedneck on the G5. I would choose the G5, but either is a good choice. The Axe was mentioned and is a great choice also. You can find a new one here on PbNation for the price of a new Mini FS. I am not 100% positive, but I think the SE and FS Mini editions are just fancy ano jobs. Invert put out the Mini, updated it a few times (I believe there was a V1, V2 and V3 poppet, V1 and V2 detents etc..), then Kee (owner of Empire) bought Invert. So the newest one is the Empire Mini which should have all the latest parts.

Of all the owners of DP guns at my field I have only seen 3 that worked correctly, the others have had problems after problems with them. I have never owned one, but when a DP owner comes to me and asks to borrow an A5 rental gun just so he/she can actually play, that actually says something to me.

My field sells more mini's then any other gun we carry. We cannot keep them in stock, next would be the Axe's or Proto Rails. Since Thanksgiving we have sold approx 10 mini's, 6 rails and 6 Axe's as well as 3 Tippmann Crossovers. Everything else we sold was scenario/entry level guns that mimicked M4/M16 style guns.

Between the two I would say the Mini. Another one you should look at is the Proto Rail - it retails for approx 250.00 new.

I hear that a lot about DP. I used to "fix" them often also. Most of the problems were due to youth, ignorance or laziness. I would estimate ~95% of the issues were battery (dead or dying) or oring (damaged or not properly lubed) related. Since the OP asked about maintenance, I would advise against the Rail. I owned one of those as well, and unless they have changed much in the last 3 years, they take a little more effort to keep running smoothly. For a super low maintenance shooter around the $300 price range I would check out the Proton. Best marker in its price range in my opinion.

There are more guns in the price range than just a mini and g5.

It's just special colors, nothing performance wise is better about them.

An Empire Mini is a version 3 as it has the same poppet as the current Axe lineup and it's the best one. As far as ANS goes, any mini over 325.00 is an ANSgear Mini.

I would go with the G5. The guy above that stated most DP guns at his field have problems are due to user error 90%+ of the time. It's also quite funny how most shops do not know how to fix them either. The G5 changed quite a lot of things to fix issues the old G's had.

But a very large factor in this, is how it feels in the hands. The mini as well as axe feel absolutely horrendous in my hands. the front grip is terrible to me. I cant stand it. I know people who love how it feels. It just isnt for me.

Go to your local shop and feel them in your hands. Kee has better CS from the company itself. DP has a huge customer base here that will help you fix any and every problem you have within 10 minutes. Many many times members of the DP forum have taken time out of their schedule and actually shipped a part like a reg seat or something like that to some person who was having problems for FREE. Now that is something you will NOT find anywhere else on nation. There are also plenty of shops and other online stores that will have exactly what you need if you do need any part.

This is very true and a lot of people don't like the Axe/Mini due to the trigger frame. Since it's not a true 45* frame, some people refuse to try it out. I had to get used to mine, but still find it uncomfortable sometimes. The front grip, meh, try shooting an EMag then complain about the Axe/Mini.
