Installed new Poppet, Etha not firing

FIXED THE PROBLEM!

I recently installed the new spring-less poppet and went to test it out and had a problem. The marker would gas up, however when the trigger is pulled, there is a puff of air out of the solenoid vent (as I believe it should), however the bolt does not move. I took the entire bolt assembly out of the marker and wiped it down to see if bolt stick was the problem but that did not help. I also tried a new battery and that did not make a difference either. I also monkeyed with the reg, taking it from where it was to all the way out, with no change in the problem.

I'm assuming that I didn't install the poppet insert the wrong way, but if I did it wrong could this cause the problem?

Otherwise suggestions?

Check you have it installed properly and that you greased it correctly?

Anything besides that? Like I said, everything should be good to go.

Try another battery if you can. Some are actually just bad when you buy them new. Also check your board connections they could be loose.

I hooked up a 6 AA pack (9 volts too) that had all new batteries and same thing. Couldn't find a new 9 volt. board connections are all good. Checked them when I took it apart. I'll try to find some time to tear it all down and see if the poppet is installed backward.

This issue is also happening to me. Every 4th or 5th shot.

Shot shot shot puff, shot puff

It's like the old poppet spring issue.

UGH

Hi,

There should be no need to raise the dwell on your Etha's.

The ONLY issues that we have ever seen with the new firing poppets have been due entirely to either bad battery packs or incorrect amount of lube (or a combination of both). Please check these two factors, replacing any apparently good batteries with a known new ALKALINE battery and wiping of any old grease and regreasing the firing poppet and firing poppet insert before reassembling and testing.

Another thing to try is replacing the external #20 o-rings on the outside of the bolt assembly. Make sure they are gripping the inside of the body firmly and they have grease on them.

Make sure there is no grease on the bolt bumper or the back of the bolt and that the bolt can move freely.

I bought new batteries the other day, just haven't had time to put them and test. I will re-grease both to make sure there are no issues there.

I did notice the bolt was binding earlier, I will double check everything and see what happens.

Hopefully it's an easy fix, I doubt that I could do anything to seriously mess the Etha up. It's built like a brick wall.

Regreased the drive train body o-rings and put in a fresh battery. Cycles great now, not sure about velocity but that's an easy fix next time I go out.

Thanks for your help.
