I think making him cap will at least give some fairness to renters, but I believe ultimately making him play with rental equip (when it is all renters) would be the best solution. If he wants to play with is own gun, he will quickly realize that he needs to play with other equipment owning players.. I know I would!!

Yeah mostly people wanting do unto him as he's been doing onto rentals. Post a picture of him here and let him know about the thread and he'll probably never play paintball again. Wanted Alive or Bonusballed preferably an entire pod bonusballed

well i think the owner would have to be willing to let him use a rental gun for free.. I mean that is a small sacrafice to help the rental crew enjoy more.. beside, at any point he can have a buddy go on the other team and they can both use their own equip. I really feel like he would get the hint and just start playing with non renters if he had no choice (because using a rental gun is really not a choice when you pay all that money for your own stuff)

not all guns can cap at 5 mine only goes down to 10 \
so hope he has one that can

At the least make it UWL Semi capped at 10... ten isnt that fast and even a rental marker can hit it. But capping the marker at what would be the lowest for most markers is toooooo slow.

You wanna still practice good buisness. That might have negative reprecussions if he goes and runs his mouth.
But the field does have the right to deny service. Just be prepared to explain why. And if he is detering potention buisness and is a bully on the field. There is no place. Try giving out a temporary ban. A suspension if you will.

Make him play hopper ball, and use a shake n bake hopper. That's a little bit better than using a rental and should even the playing field a little bit.

Maybe you can get all the rental people to say that they don't him to play with them. If the rentals are the one saying this to him he might be more likely to play with the walk-on group.

I agree with telling him straight out what the issue is. Rather than beat around the bush telling him to use rentals, and capping his speed. If he doesn't like it oh well.

True. It's just that he is a big sissie, and is scared to play against people who actually have experience in the sport.

Honestly I think it would be pretty fun to go to fields where this is a problem (it almost always is at any field) and beat on ***** *****es like this one. Bunker hard that might teach em. I remember my first time playing paintball at a woodsball field on a saturday with my dad and two friends there was this kid who had a dye headwrap, i4s, a jersey and pants, and a high end gun, (probably a dm) and was just beating on the renters (including me) and talked a bunch of **** about how he was hot ****. I remember me and my friend in a bunker, and this kid with his friend bunker us on either side and overshoot us. Honestly the kid was a little ***** and I kinda would like to unload a hopper on him. These people piss me off but his mom was playing and I ****ed her up the last game so yeah.

Wow, this was actually very entertaining, I like my field alot, it has 3 "classes"
Beginner- ONLY rentals No exceptions No shooting within 10 feet (might be 15)
intermediate- No Bunkering (capped/ Uncapped semi auto only)
Advanced- basically just teams, really boring if you are not on a team (psp 12.5)

I might not have them exactly right, but it is close, and i think that it is a good system, also rentals/ beginners play fields with cars, tires, castles, houses, ect. (not airball/ speedball). Usually intermediate/ advanced would do only airball/ speedball on either a psp or nppl field, but every once and a while I enjoy a game on something different, one of the crate fields or something.
But I dont see why he would be doing this, it just seems like he wants to do it to feel better about himself. for me if you mess up in paintball, you just need to get the guy that shot you last round, makes it more fun to get him really good, I think the best feeling in paintball is either lighting up a cheater/ "bragger" or lighting up one of your best friends (has to be the right type of friend)

Is this discussion still going on? OP, you're the ref. You're in charge. Tell him he can play with the appropriate group, or not play. End of discussion. All of these suggestions, some of them very good, concerning ways to make him voluntarily change which group he plays with, are beyond the point.
