Meh, not a fad for me. I grew up using apple stuff. I was the only kid in elementary school who liked apple and everyone said no they suck. But then when college came around.... everyone got macbooks. So yes it's def a fad for certain people. But not for everyone.

I basically feel the same way towards iphones as I do Call of Duty games. As long as they keep coming out with one every year dumb *** people will just keep buying them.
Edit: proto I understand that, I didn't mean to make such a blanket statement, plenty of people use them for work and what not. But most are spoiled **** kids/dumb people.

I love the **** out of my Galaxy Nexus, my phone is up for renewal in October so I'll be giving myself a new phone for it. I can't wait to see the technology out then.

Retina display is ~320 PPI. The Galaxy Nexus is around 300 PPI. The naked eye at maximum can tell the difference capping out around 300 PPI. Also the term "retina display" is something Apple coined, you will never hear any other company refer to their screens as such. Your Galaxy Nexus is 720p SuperAMO-LED.
