I have noticed some Dye barrel backs say "UL" and some say the full "ULTRALITE". Is there any difference between these barrels or just a cosmetic change Dye made over time?

Also, are all unmarked backs 688?

I *believe* that if it says ULTRALITE, it's older, and UL next to the Dye logo is newer.

And I think that the ULTRALITE won't have an anno where it threads in.

In no way am I 100% confident with these statements.

Are dye UL backs supposed to have an oring? If so what size?

I have seen some with, some without.

Doesn't matter the size of print but mine does have one because it shakes with out it
