A spring will do you no good without the new bolt with a step inside.

Exactly. I was wondering if all earlier Demon's have the ridge for the spring, or if the earlier bolts could be milled to accept the spring?
Sorry for the questions, I don't own a Demon unfortunately

I was wondering if My spring would fit the Demon. Also, I'd like to own one some time. Heard they are smoother than a new borns butt!!!!

Getting a new Demon. The spring will not work in a 2012 bolt.

changed out the back 021 orings to polyurethane, and tried different 011 orings on the bolt guide and that seemed to do the trick! Degased it several times and aired it up to make sure it wasn't a one time thing and viola, no more puffs on first pull! Hoping to get out on the field tomorrow and try this bad boy one more time.

The 2013 Bolt has a little more meat on it to provide the lip inside the bolt where the Spring sits.

2012 Bolt

No Step for the Spring
2013 Bolt

You can clearly see the step for the spring
The Step was added by adding material to the Bolt, not milled out

I knew it was longer and stiffer than the Demon spring, but even at 90 psi, there should be enough pressure to compress my spring as long as the spring didn't bind. Oh well. Thanks for trying!!!
Thank You to Jaugernaught Lives for your help as well.
I still want a Demon tho. Those look like they shoot BUTTER SOFT!

The spring can not be longer since the Bolt in the ready to shoot (Bolt Back) position, the spring is almost at full compression (the spring is fully closed), If you made the spring longer it will not allow the bolt to go all the way back properly and can cause the ball not to drop into the breech. Stiffer is OK just not longer.
