Dye Rotor top shell + magnets..... Speedfeed/lid quick change idea

Im at work right now, but i was just thinking about how it might be possible to use magnets instead of screws for that top piece on the top of the rotors upper half.

This way you could just switch out the top piece for one with a lid alot faster than having to unscrew the current one.

I dont have my rotor in front of me at the moment, so this might not work... but its an idea.

you got magnets that are strong enough i figure you'd increase the weight of the hopper. not by much but still noticeable probably. its an interesting concept. my friend has the same issue with wanted to switch. it might work, magnas and some halos used magnets to keep the lids down but were pretty weak. definitely worth a shot if you had a spare rotor shell laying around

How about thumb screws. Just something big enough to grab ahold of and tighten or loosen. Be more secure than magnets and easier too.
