Hey guys, i've been a longtime speedball player and want to get into the woodsball side of the game as well.
I was looking to outfit an a5 with a flatline barrel but im seeing they are getting pretty hard to find. is there a reason for this? is there something better out?
Tonycon is right. The flatline was an extremely picky barrel to match with paint; the Apex outclassed the flatline in every aspect especially interns of paint compatibility.
same for me. i had the flatline and then i bought the apex2. i am much happier now, and more accurate. Or just buy a jj. simply the best barrel overall
I have all of the backspin barrels, they all work great if you use them right (most people run their flatline with too fast of an fps, you want it to be 270fps max on the flatlines, and buy gloss shelled paint)
The flatline with an apex on it is rather fun!... I have video on my channel doing that, crazy dive bombs at 60 feet!
Here is a video I just put on my channels, with a j&j barrel and I tape modded an Apex 2 to the end... (set the apex 2 at 4 clicks) and run 280fps.
They have them at my local shop but go with the apex like everyone else said. i amaze many people with how level and accurate my shots get. and you can curve your shots for fun.
The most fun barrel is the Monsterspin, which is a flatline with a Apex 2 tape modded on the end... You can dive bomb and shoot around bunkers at 60 feet. It is insane! Here is some video of it in action.
