Spyder Imagine Digital LED problem
I got this Spyder Imagine Digital LED off the nation not too long ago. I've replaced all of the o-rings, cleaned and oiled the marker. Added a new expansion chamber, line, bottom, and clamping feedneck. All of the electronics work.
So, here's the problem. I cock the marker and it fires but it doesn't recock. It sounds like a machine gun for @ 1/2 second and stops. It does this every time. I checked my air tanks and they are full.
Any ideas???
It came with a ShockTech bolt and I don't have the original to see if that would be the problem.

It's most likely either your striker is not being blown back with enough force or your rear main spring has too much tension which isn't allowing the striker to catch on the sear.

You probably have the wrong o-ring on the striker/hammer. Regular tank o-rings don't work on most Spyders.

Checked the o-ring and that was the problem. Seems to be firing correctly now. Thanks!

Yeah, no problem! It's a common issue. It LOOKS like a standard tank o-ring should work which confuses a lot of people. When I was working at the field here that was the cause of 90% of the problems people had with their Spyders/Spyder clones.
I've had 2 Spyders that tolerated regular tank o-rings on the striker but they were in the vast minority.

if it helps order a red one. Or get a kit that comes with a red one. Thats the striker o-ring 90% of time. I has to do with the softens of the oring. You notice that the tank oring is harder than the black o-rings. The red one is a softer than the black one.

I checked Spyder's site but can only find the red o-ring as part of a kit. Does anyone have a source for the red o-ring without having to buy the kit? I would like to pick up a few extra since I used the only one I had.

Update: Changed the striker o-ring to the red one and the Imagine worked great! Cycled through semi, 3 shot and 6 shot bursts, as well as full auto with no problems. Shoot around a hundred balls and it stops working. It's back to the original problem as stated. I ordered new o-rings and now I'm waiting for them to get here so I can tear it back down.

Are you using HPA or CO2? If CO2, the oring on the striker may be shrinking due to the high ROF and the low temperature.

Glad to hear your making progress. When you replaced was it with a red o-ring or just a random one. If its anything other than the red one it would probably give you trouble just like it did.. again.

Failed using HPA but I wondered if the ROF was giving me a problem.
