Settling the age debate with the actual numbers
Okay guys I have seen the haters against the Tech T L7 bolt and Those that adore the fuse stock bolt. So I've decided after owning a few tech t products that I love and have not had an issue with. I assure everyone that I am not a spokesperson or have any affiliation with their company other than buying their products from time to time. What I am trying to do out of this thread is to provide some information to those that want to try a different bolt system in their marker other than a stock bolt.
Alright now for the setup:
Proto Matrix 5 (PM5)
Ultralight frame
Stock ultralight trigger
Tadao m7 ul software
Evil detonator reg
Unknown on/off
Tech T iFit barrel kit planet eclipse .689 barrel
Crossfire 68/3k ninja myth reg
Lurker lube
The only variables will be between settings on the board and bolts.
Editing more later

No it's not spam it's actually trying to prove a point through actual numbers what the efficency and pressures you can run with the optimal tuning and settings which you can achieve from each bolt. And maybe finally end the raging conflict between those that swear the L7 is nothing but junk and those that say the fuse is the best bolt ever in the world

I will be heading to the field sat and sun for the testing phase of it and crunching the numbers and the data should be up sun night or Monday morning I kinda posted this prematurely but I wanted to get this out of my head and onto the posting before I lost sight o what I was trying to achieve with this testing

But numbers alone can't show that the L7 isn't as smooth as fuse, which is most of the point of using a spool. PMR (PM/DM + L7) < PM/DM.

Until I fire a L7 that's smoother than my PM7 was, PM8 or DM9 is (and I've shot several L7's), then I've already seen all I need to see. I'm open minded, but I'm not willing to discount everything I've seen myself with my own 2 hands.

LOL here we go with this debate again. I don't know about numbers of shots per tank with the L7 in it but I will say I have a few PM7's that I keep as back ups & loaners to friends that come out & play on rec days. AND the same thing happens everytime, the one with the stock bolt vs the L7'd PM7 always gets the how come your's is smoother(in favor of the L7'd PM7).
Truth is you just aren't going to get the haters out there to really keep an open mind about this TechT bolt. I've turned a few haters into believers at my local field but everyone has thier opinion. The funny thing I always hear is, but it turns the PM7 into an "unbalanced spool" should just get a PMR or Reflex or something. Point is that it's not a PMR it's a PM7 & I'll say it ALL day no one ever picks up my PM7 and says this is so smooth but when finds out there's an L7 in it automatically says it has to suck????
not like someone would do this but you know what would be a real test of what is perceived to be quieter & smoother is to set up a booth at say at local event & have 2 identical pm7's set up next to each other & 1 obviously with the stock bolt perfectly tuned by a Dye tech just so there are no arguments of who tuned it, then have a Tuned L7 PM7 & just go old school Coke & Pepsi Challenge on it. I would confidently bet that the L7 PM7 would get the most votes for smoother & quieter.
Here's an example, I have private games for my son & his friends all the time & my high school buddies that are police officers (I mention this b/c they know a little something about shooting real guns & perceived smoothness/kick but don't know or are influenced by brands of paintball guns or upgrades) always argue to switch pm7's b/c the one with the L7 in it is smoother then the stock one. Point is no one gives a $hit what's in it as long as the end result is that it's reliable consistent & does it make that gun shoot better???? Yes it does otherwise I would use the stock bolt or Billy Wing bolt or a polished bolt if it shot better....but it doesn't.

My experience with the earlier techt Dm bolts was........useless on any gun that has an LPR. Gold on any gun without an LPR. Of course I never did try the L7 versions. Only the first one they came out with.
The biggest problem I had with the bolt was not even the smoothness or efficiency...but the huge open face that caused horrible roll back and therefore more ball breakage.
Smooth gun ain't worth jack if you're breaking paint.
I actually found it less smooth too. The bolt may have been half the weight or whatever it was( I don't remember) but the air pressure needed to run it was more than double. Quick logic tells me it couldn't be as smooth because it's got more energy behind it, despite it's lower weight.
Maybe the L7 is better.....who can say.
