Last year I wore my Saucony Outlaws. They're lightweight, have a fairly aggressive tread and have plenty of ankle support.
I also go trail running frequently and the extra ankle support has saved me on quite a few fast descents.
The only downside is that they are on the minimalist side, so standing all day won't be as comfortable as a shoe with a thicker sole (although I haven't really noticed).
Also, the color choices aren't great but that doesn't really matter to me.
I've also thought about wearing my all time favorite boots.
The Lowa Zephyr's. Awesome boot.
I mainly use them for backpacking and general outdoor use but they definitely thrive in a tactical/scenario-paintball setting.
Inov-8 shoes are also a good brand, if they fit you; as they seem to run very narrow.
Also, at LL5 I definitely saw a decent number of people wearing cleats go down hard on the slippery surfaces in Bedlam.
I'd rather sacrifice a little traction than have to avoid particular areas.
