Hmmm not that I'm aware of. I know what you are talking about though, like how certain markers have a particularly vulnerable o-ring or something. However I haven't noticed on my victory. Just be sure to use the right lubes and also to get some sort of low pressure output regulator
I asked about the ripper a week or two ago. I got my ripper but traded it for a v2. I have had the ripper and a v1 vic. My son had a ripper also. I love the guns. However with that said I wouldn't spend the extra on the ripper but that is my peronal preference in milling. The gun is easy to maintain w/ dow55. Pretty much idiot proof really to work on. Smoothness is right in line with my sons pooty vapor imo. If you're going to buy one without shooting it first get a v1 w/ sc. They can be had for $500 +-. V2's wll still cost around $650+ and a ripper will still set you back $800+. All the same internals if the v1 has the sc. I really can't say enough good things about the guns.
