Jack Wood,
I may be getting a 2nd hand Etha, and was curious. IF it does have the original part, can I get the new upgraded part? If it is not covered by any factory replacement methods, then how much will it be?

All that you need to do is register your ownership of the marker via:
https://warranty.planeteclipse.com/
Once you have done this, email me your details and the serial number of the Etha to: nick.t@planeteclipse.com and i will take care of things for you.
FYI as of 16:00 GMT i will not be back in the office until Wednesday 2nd January 2013.

any way to solved the problem? i'm thinking of changing the o-ring slightly smaller than stock o-ring to stop the stiction.
the silver thing with o-ring - can it be used in old poppet?

The best way to solve it is to keep the oring lightly lubricated and ALWAYS use a fresh, alkaline battery in your marker.
No the new insert is not compatible with the old poppet. If it was we would have just sent out inserts

Any news on when the spring-less version would fully replace what's currently being manufactured? Also what might this do to it's consistency and efficiency? I'm looking at picking one up.

Every Etha that we manufacture (from 1/1/13) includes the Springless Poppet Kit as standard. We are also doing our utmost to update any stock (both at PE and at our Dealers/Distributors) that was manufactured prior to this date.
