3 Man Tourny Strategies??

Me and my 2 buddies are playing in our first 3 on 3 tourny this weekend, I just just wondering if any of you guys had any strategies that would help us out, also any tips in general for a dorito player?
Cheers!

Stay tight, don't get shot off the break, shoot one off of the break, communicate, capitalize on a down player, stay crossed, don't let the loader run dry, play aggressive. If you do these things, you will win, but usually the first team to get down the field and get the angles wins.

Avoid the snake... The snake is useless in a 3 man. But don't give up the snake side.

Not necessarily true, all depends on layout, an how the field plays. Walk the field and pin point key bunkers and positions.

Not necessarily true, depends on the layout. Communication, staying on the gun, playing tight, etc will help you succeed.

If you start up bodies after the break, you should win the point.

Keep your guns shooting and put the other guys in their bunkers. In 3 man, losing one guy can put a team on the defensive.

Having plenty of paint is a plus, I would carry at least 3-4 pods. Also, always keep your guns up, keeping it up will ensure that you're ready to shoot someone when they're moving bunkers and that makes a big difference in a 3 man. Also playing home, back left, and back right is a very simple way to keep everything balanced if you're just getting into competitive paintball. You never want to send all of your players to the same side of the field because it leaves a gap and gives the opposing team an advantage to move up.

Find the a key bunker on the field layout (walk the field before) and don't give up the back corner snake side (depending on the field layout). in my 3man experience, that bunker or one near it can control most of the field pretty effectively.

Most teams will send someone to the snake so still watch that side

Try to play aggressively. Moving farther up the field in the beginning will pinch the other team quite a bit and hinder them from making their moves. It also puts them on the defensive.

Aggressiveness in 3-man is the best strategy

People are disagreeing but in most cases I agree with this. The snake traditionally takes 2 players to use effectively. You need a mid to watch that guys back. This is less important on the dorito side.

Get to the edge (snake or D side) assuming they don't have a corner or the corner is looking inside, proceed to wrap, shoot, move, and collect points.

It's generally more effective to take advantage of the other team trying to make it to the snake than to do it yourself. The problem with the snake is that you need a second player behind you to provide adequate protection. If you lose your back or dorito player, the game is over as soon as your snake guy gets forced down. Any competent back or dorito player will do that quite easily when up on bodies.

The proper way to use the snake in a 3-man field is to stop anyone trying to go there, wait until you get to a 2 on 3, then move into the snake to shoot the remaining two players in the back. The god bunker is the best place to stop because you have a good view of the snake and easy access if you want to get in. If you suddenly lose a teammate you can also make a quick move into the snake as an attempt to put them on their heels and confuse anybody that doesn't know you're down a body. Inexperienced players that see you get into the snake later in the game will think they're losing.

My team just recently won a 3 man series. The snake was actually a good bunker to play, and we won so many games because we pushed it hard. We would have all three guns up off the break, one person would stay back center and lane, one person go to D1 shooting, and I would go snake insert. After I got into snake my back center would fill my corner and watch my tape. If you can get in the snake without the other team seeing you, you're going to do work.
